Born in Beirut, Lebanon on 25th of July Carole grew up with her parents and two brothers, having only one dream since childhood, being on stage.
Carole says she used to ignore her studies in order to attend movies and plays behind her parents' back. She started her career as an actress in the theatre as well as television.

Shehas released over 50 albums and has acted in 98 movies, as well as 20stage plays. She is among the most prolific Arabic-language singers,with a reported 3,500 songs in her repertoire.
Sabah was born as Janet Gergi Fighali in Beirut, Lebanon,although other records state that her birth place is the village ofWadi Shahroor. In her youth she already was a vibrant person andpopular with the boys. She was adored by other kids of her age. Shestarted acting in school with role such as "Amira Hend". In the 40s shestarted singing and started acting in Egyptian movies.

Still a prominent performer at the age of 80, she continues toperform both in concert and on television, including programs likeLebanon's Star Academy (the Arabic equivalent of the United Kingdom's Fame Academy) where she sang her new single on a stage lined with mannequins displaying costumes from several of her early films and musicals.
The singer is known to her fans by the diminutive "Sabbouha" and isalso called "Al Shahroura," or the singing bird. She is well known forher lively and expressive voice, especially the ability to sustain asingle note for over a minute when performing in the Lebanese 'atabastyle. Lately, she said that her "off" used to last for 50 seconds. Hervibrant and throaty roar in the rendition of dabke songs is unmatched.
Her only European TV performance was In 1980, when she was a gueston the french TV show "Le Grand Echiquier" where she performed "Saidi",one of her greatest hits and also a duet with the french singer EnricoMacias, together they sang "Aal Nadda".
In the 90s, Sabah and her former husband Fadi Lubnan (Kuntar) made a documentary about her own life.
In 2005, she released a new dance single and in 2006 a duet withLebanese singer Rola. It is a remake of a 1970s hit. The accompanyingvideo, in which Sabah is shown as "the notorious diva" to whom heryounger colleague pays tribute, has received wide play on Arabic musicchannels.
On November 10, 2007 Sabah while celebrating her birthday with friends, she received a rose and a phone call from General Aoun, a well known Lebanese politician.
Sabah has been married Eleven times. Her marriage with Najib Shammas lasted 5 years and with Egyptian violinist Anwar Mansy, four years. She was also married with Egyptian composer Baligh Hamdy, Egyptian television presenter Ahmed Farrag, Egyptian actor Rushdy Abaza, to whom she was married for three days only until she found out he had not divorced his wife, Joe Hammoud, Wassim Tabbara, and last but not least Fadi Kuntar, aka Fadi Lubnan.Lately, she said that all her husbands have taken advantage of hercareer; especially, when she was at her summit of fame. She alsoadmited that she her big love was Joe Hammoud. Sabah was named by herformer husbands as "Madame Bank" because she used to spend her moneygenerously on the people she loved.
There are rumors that she was engaged to Amr Mihio ("Mr. Lebanon")in 2003. When the relationship ended in 2004, she admitted that it hadbeen a stunt to launch Amr's acting career. Some say she also had alove affair with the brother in law of King Farouk. In April 2008, a publication with photos announced that she got married to Joseph Gharib,her hair dresser for 17 years. It was later revealed that she was onlypulling an April Fool's joke on the public. She has two children; Sabahfrom her marriage with Najib Chammas), who is a doctor and married to Zeina Chammas and; Howayda Mansy from her marriage with Anwar Mansy, who is an actress in the United States. She has two grandchildren Danielle Chammas and Naji Chammas who both live in California.
