Hiro tak tau nak letak kat mana, kat puding or chocolate cake thread ...tapi mana2 boleh lah kan. This cake senang sangat buat, guna box chocolate cake mixed like Super Moist Chocolate Cake Duncan Hines. Caramel I masuk dalam blender je. Cuma teknik nak buat dia unique and this is Mexican Chocolate Cake Flan Pudding.

Ini resepinya ya...ikut betul2.

Chocolate Flan Cake (Modified from the original Mexican Choc Flan)
I use different version of flan from the original recipe, change accordingly to my taste to balance the sweetness.

For Chocolate Cake
1 box Devil's Food cake mix (Duncan Hines preferred)

For Flan
3 Eggs
1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
1 can Evoraped milk
1/2 can Condensed milk

Garnish
1 bottle Caramel (Hershey Brand Ice Cream Topping preferred) – divided into two portions.

Instructions

Heat oven to 350 degrees

1. Follow instructions to make cake.
2. Set cake mix aside and make flan.
3. Put the flan ingredients in a blender and mix well.
4. Spray the bundt pan with Pam and then cover the bottom with 1/2 bottle of caramel.
5. Pour cake mix gently into bundt pan.
6. Pour the flan mix gently down one side of the pan. The flan will go to the bottom and the cake mix will rise up a bit as the flan mixture fills the bottom of the pan.
7. Set the bundt pan in a larger pan or tray with 1 inches of hot water (water bath). Cover the bundt with aluminium foil, poke some holes on it.
8. Cook for 50 minutes with aluminum foil and 20 minutes without the aluminum foil.
9. Check the cake doneness with a toothpick. The cake will stay moister than most cakes you've ever made and you will see it separate a bit from the pan when it is done.
10. Let is cool at room temperature and refrigerate for several hours.
11. Turn the bundt pan over on flat size plate and let it sit while warming to room temperature.
12. The bundt pan should then lift off to reveal a layer of flan, topped with balance of the caramel on top of the cake.

Note: I modified this recipe according to my taste and techniques. Original recipe requires Coke rather than water, no aluminum foil and bake only 45 minutes. This will make the cake drier and sometimes not cook. I reduce the condense milk from 1 can to 1/2 to balance the sweet taste of the cake and the caramel.

sebetulnya..buat jala mas bukannya susah kalau tau tip dia..saya membesar dgn jala masa,tahi itik dan kuih2 kelantan sbb mak mmg bisnes kuih2 tu.tp saya tak pernah buat sendiri ..bahannya kuning telur,gula,bunga cengkih,daun pandan & air.
masak air gula dgn daun pandan dan bunga cengkih.air gula yg dimasak mesti pekat,kalau tak kuning telur yg dikirai tu putus2..

kuning telur tu pulak, mesti telur segar. kalau dpt telur itik lg baik sbb kuning telurnya pekat. kuning telur yg ditapis tu jgn selalu dikacau sbb taknak dia cair.

buat kelongsong dr daun pisang. potong hujungnya..masuk kuning telur td dankirai kuning telur dlm air gula yg mdidih. mulakan dr tepi kuali.bila dah timbul, angkat dgn buluh pjg..dilipat2..siap..

utk kes jala mas utk puding raja, tak dilipat pon takper..

Dalam resepi tu ada tulis curah 1/2 bottle caramel dalam acuan before masukkan cake mix and flan mix tu.

Lagi 1/2 botol tu bila dah sejuk and dikeluarkan dari acuan
