Jang Geun Suk to Take the Lead Role in Director Yoon Suk Ho's New Drama
Director Yoon Suk Ho, who is known for his former work “Winter Sonata”, has revealed the male lead character for his upcoming drama would be the popular Hallyu star Jang Geun Suk.
An official revealed on August 9th that Jan Geun Suk will be taking the lead role in Yoon Suk Ho’s new drama, “Singing in the Rain”, which is set to be aired early next year. The drama will be director Yoon’s typical melodrama, just like his well-known works “Autumn in My Heart” and “Winter Sonata”.
Written by writer Oh Soo Yeon, “Singing in the Rain” would be Writer Oh and Director Yoon’s collaboration in ten years since “Autumn in My Heart”.
It is reported that the drama illustrates the love stories that take place in the 1970s and current era. Jang Geun Suk will be playing two roles; Seo In Ha, an art student back in the 1970s, and his son Seo Jun, who is a photographer that enjoys his work and seeks for love and freedom.
The drama was originally planned to air later this year on KBS, yet it was canceled due to Director Yoon’s late preparation. Aiming to be aired early next year, the filming will begin next month.

Heads up: SNSD‘s YoonA will be taking on her newest acting role, this time opposite veteran heartthrob Jang Geun Suk, in a new drama entitled ‘Love Rain‘!
The drama, which will be broadcast next year, will be a fantasy drama about fate — specifically, about how the offspring of a previous, ill-fated couple who met in the 1970′s also manage to fall in love with each other.
Both YoonA and Jang Geun Suk will be playing two roles in the upcoming drama. “We’re taking into account YoonA’s schedule with SNSD and adjusting the schedule appropriately. All that is left is for her to sign the contract,” revealed a representative for the drama.
‘Love Rain’ will be directed by Yoon Suk Ho with the script by Oh Su Yeon, a pair that also created ‘Autumn Tale‘ and ‘Winter Sonata‘.
This will be YoonA’s third outing in a drama, following her previous castings in ‘Cinderella Man‘ and ‘You Are My Destiny‘.

citer tu aku tak tengok pun.. aku lemau gila tengok yoona belakon daily drama dulu tu.. keras kejung gila.. tapi tatau laa kan kalau dah improve.. boleh laa skodeng2.. kalau lemau gak memang tak tengok dah laaa..

I think korea start to lack actress now when they have bunch of idols debuting everyday
this news is disappointing. I was hoping for a great actress. No offense to Yoona i like her as SNSD but was hoping JGS will be pair to some at par to his acting. This somehow lose my interest. But goodluck to them. I can sense it's a business move.
