tulah....design platform sbgnya tu siapa punya sebenarnya...seingat saya dulu psc dilantik jadi prime contractor dan kjaan yg memilih design...kebetulan psc mmg masuk tender dgn bv...jadi advantage utk mereka...tapi kalau design lain macam vosper dsb dipilih oleh kjaan, macamanapun psc akan bina jugak...tu yang saya sangsi yang syt lain akan dapat buat design lain selain dari meko kalau dipilh pun utk ganti psc pun..

emm nampak nye kene tunggu dan lihat aa
good concept, the MEKO (though Stanflex modules can be changed in a matter of hours compared to MEKO), but IMO in this case its PSC that makes it bad (too expensive!)

stanflex
cut n paste
"Making use of the four standardised container wells, with standardised interfaces, it is possible to re-configure the platform to perform different missions. Different options are given in Table I below. In principle any of the four wells may be used for any system and the option to replicate any particular system is feasible. Containerised systems can be stored at different locations, or air-lifted as required, thereby de-centralising depot facilities. The requirement is to conduct mission changes in 12 or less hours.
"
12 hours or less, ade articles mention a couple of hours je

satu post dari forum lain (cut n paste gak, bz nie ehehe)
"There is a huge difference between the Stanflex and Meko concept although they both use containers.
As far as I know, Stanflex uses only containers that are direct accessible from the outside, while Meko uses also containers that are moved within the ship during the building.
If you ever have been on a Meko, you would have seen that those internal containers take a lot of space.
Meko containers are used to optimize technical & building aspects:
-ship-design, f.i. a 76mm or a 57mm gun
-sub-system test, suppliers test and integrate their equipment in their container (also for cooling, comm抯 and CIC equipment)
-ships integration, cycles are shortened by moving in containers
-maintenance, replace a gun container by another one
-refurbishment and upgrade.
While Stanflex containers are designed to optimize operational versatility and capabilities. With most of the additional benefits of the above mentioned Meko aspects.
I think the Stanflex concept is brilliant. Even better on somewhat larger ships. Even more for large navies, like the US because military operations are not in series, but in overlap and in parallel.
So, than your load-out can be used for the accent of the operation.

saya selalu baca orang tulis desas-desus kerajaan kita lebih bayar utk pembelian persenjataan kita...cthnya utk frigate lekiu kita...

jadi saya nak tunjuk harga dibayar utk frigate yg dibeli sewaktu dengannya iaitu order awal 90'an dan launched sekitar 96 :

Lekiu 2 unit US600 million

Type 123 Brandenburg 4 unit systems cost US363million, kos akhir tak tahu

kang ding lafayette 6 unit tanpa weapon systems US2.8 billion

Anzac 10 unit fixed price AUD7 Billion(samalah macam meko kita fixed price)

ada nampak apa-apa tak?

satu rencana menarik tentang sistem automasi moden untuk kapal perang..

Fighting fit on the high seas
Aug 18, 2004

Military technology gives the Republic of Singapore Navy's new frigates the edge in times of peace and conflict

Six new lean and mean frigates of the Republic of Singapore Navy will spot maritime threats like pirates in Singapore waters five times faster than before.

Thanks to a sensor and weapon systems coordinated by a Combat Management System (CMS) on each of the Formidable-class frigates.

The CMS uses computers to analyse sensor information previously done by human operators. It was developed by local military research agencies including the Defence Science and Technology Agency and Mindef's research technology arm, DSO National Laboratories.

"Using computers, we can track five times as many targets, and do it more consistently, quickly and thoroughly," said Major Tan Teck Yong, a project officer with the Navy's frigate programme office.

For example, where warships previously depended on an alert radar and sonar operator continuously looking and tracking objects appearing on his sensors, the CMS system now automatically tracks each target and notes down all relevant information like speed and course.

Naval personnel on board the Navy's new Formidable-class frigates can now rely on the Combat Management System to track targets.

It then applies preset rules to each target - for example, not leaving normal sea-lanes or accelerating suddenly. It alerts the operator when the target violates these rules.

All the sensor information is simultaneously analysed using a set of operational rules to select and prepare the most appropriate response to the threat. The responses include the frigate's anti-submarine helicopter, anti-missile missiles, surface-to-surface missiles, medium calibre gun, or torpedoes.

Which means the weapon systems officer has an easier task of deciding on the best course of action as all unsuitable options are filtered out - such as weapons that cannot hit the targets because they are out of their range.

Formidable-class frigates contain automated systems that allow them to sail with fewer crew members than normally required.

Also on board each frigate is an advanced ship management system (SMS). It automates steering, control and monitoring systems such as taking readings of the power generators.

The SMS is also linked to the ship's bridge via an Integrated Bridge System. This allows the ship's operators to access more of the information needed to run the ship safely and effectively from a single location.

For example, only one instead of two operators is needed to control the navigation radar and the electronic chart system.

In all, automation means fewer crew are needed - 71 instead of 150 people. Two of the six frigates have already been launched. The rest are being built and a new one will join the fleet every five months.

the 2nd ship had been launched locally recently.

1st ship is undergoing testing in France but should be back soon. I expect before Aug 05.

Rumours has it that the AMX13 replacement is ready. If this is true, the tank will also be unveil before Aug 05.

mungkinkah cerita ini timbul dari perjanjian ini...kalau ya tidak ada kena mengena dengan ngpv dan dah memang cerita lama tu....:ah:

SAFreight has recently signed is an joint venture bid with Sabah Shipyard Sdn Bhd. to build a training patrol vessel for the Royal Malaysian Navy. The value of SAFrieght take on this deal is US$ 60 million for the hull of the vessel to be built in Durban http://www.dfa.gov.za/docs/2003/malay0805.htm

Walau bagaimana pun ianya masih diperingkat terlalu awal(sila rujuk thread saya terdahulu).
