A beauty-obsessed transsexual was left disfigured after her quest to look like Michael Jackson went horribly wrong.
Hugo Hernandez Garcia, from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, performed a number of cosmetic procedures on herself, including injecting baby oil into her face in an effort to look like the American popstar.
The former stylist believed the home-remedy was a low-cost alternative to collagen treatments which would leave her with flawless skin.
In an interview with the Spanish news agency El Manana, Hugo explained that she is looking to reverse the procedure.
He said: "In my head, I try to tell myself that I have nothing to hide.
"So I need to go through treatment because I get thoughts that I'm horrible, I look like a monster."
However her body reacted badly to the procedures and she has been living with the gruesome side-effects for the past 17 years now.
After the self-given treatment, Hugo's skin became red and blotchy and strange-looking lumps started to appear all over her face.
Not only did her dream of a Michael Jackson face turn into a nightmare, but she must also live with a string of health issues as a consequence.
She takes more than 15 different types of medication each day, must balance a special diet which includes drinking plenty of water and has to avoid alcohol.
Garcia also said that she regrets being so obsessed with looks and hopes that others will learn from her mistakes.
