Tu lah daen... tu bezanya Kerajaan yang bagus dengan pembangkang yang bengap tapi berlagak pandai  ...

Maybe tu salah kerajaannya..patut biar je mak bapak bergolok gadai cari duit nak hantar anak belajar...tanggung jawab mak pak pun sebenarnya...bila kerajaan dah bantu, banyak yang lupa dan tak sedar diri...kalau takde bantuan ptptn n biasiswa tu ade derang buleh hidup senang camni? Kita dah kebanjiran generasi yang tak tau bersyukur...sikit pun dalam hati tak rasa berterima kasih dan bayar balik hutang supaya orang lain pun dapat jadi senang macam depa...kat jepun depa amalkan sistem semua orang tolong each other, duit tax pencen yang bayar bulan2 bukan untuk diri sendiri, tapi untuk tolong semua orang especially golongan tua yang dah banyak berjasa...duit pencen depa orang muda lah yang support..and they seem to accept it walaupun terbeban sebab orang tua lagi ramai dari org muda...tapi depa still sanggup membayarnya...itu cara depa balas jasa...betape berbezanya pemikiran...

Maybe tu salah kerajaannya..patut biar je mak bapak bergolok gadai cari duit nak hantar anak belaj ...

Swedish 'free schools' fail to improve results
Plans for a generation of Swedish-style “free schools” were questioned today as research suggested they failed to boost education standards.

A report said the schools – set up and run by parents, teachers, charities and voluntary groups – benefited children from highly-educated families more than those from the poorest backgrounds.

The study said any advantages gained by pupils attending free schools in Sweden failed to translate into “greater educational success” beyond the age of 16.

The conclusions, published in the latest education of Research in Public Policy, comes just days after Michael Gove, the Education Secretary, invited groups to apply to run their own primary and secondary schools in England.

Under plans, schools would be funded by the taxpayer but independent of local council control, giving operators more power over the curriculum, admissions and teachers’ pay.

Researchers admitted that the latest study was specific to Sweden and was of “limited” use when predicting the impact of similar reforms in England.

But it will still raise concerns that the introduction of the Coalition’s free schools system may fail to improve the education system.

"The evidence on the impact of the reforms suggests that, so far, Swedish pupils do not appear to be harmed by the competition from private schools, but the new schools have not yet transformed educational attainment in Sweden,” the report said.

The report’s author, Rebecca Allen, from the Institute of Education, part of the University of London, said evidence showed a “moderately positive” impact of free schools on academic performance when pupils were 15 and 6, but she added: "The biggest beneficiaries are children from highly educated families; the impact on low educated families and immigrants is close to zero.”

The report said: "The researchers also find that the advantages that children educated in areas with free schools have by age 16 do not translate into greater educational success in later life."

Researchers said the experience of Sweden was “helpful, but necessarily limited” in the extent to which it could predict the impact of similar reforms in England because of the huge differences between the two education systems.

The Tories argue that free schools will give parents more choice, narrow the achievement gap between rich and poor pupils and drive up standards across the system because of the element of competition it will create.

So far, more than 700 groups have expressed an interest in setting up a school, it was announced last week. Half the projects are being led by teachers.

Groups wishing to open a new school must fill out a proposal form stating their reasons for doing so, the aims and objectives of the proposed school, an outline of the curriculum and possible sites as well as evidence of sufficient demand from the community.

Mr Gove said he would overhaul "bureaucratic" planning laws to enable existing buildings – including converted homes and shops – to be used by teachers and pupils.

But questions have already been raised over funding for the schools, with claims that cash set aside for the poorest children in England may be raided.

Mr Gove said: "All the academic evidence from Sweden shows that more free schools mean higher standards. All schools improve when the number of free schools increases.

"A second study found that in a given municipality, the higher the proportion of free schools, the more standards rise all round. The evidence not only from Swedish free schools but from American charter schools shows that such schools help to close the gap between the poorest and the wealthiest children.”

He added: “In this country, too often the poorest children are left with the worst education while richer families can buy their way to quality education via private schools or expensive houses.

"By allowing new schools we will give all children access to the kind of education only the rich can afford – small schools with small class sizes, great teaching and strong discipline."

Rachel Wolf, director of the New Schools Network, a charity set up to drive the programme, said: "This research confirms that the Swedish system has brought improvements.

"However, their report does not examine the bigger and more important studies of Charter Schools in America. That research, particularly including lottery studies at Harvard, Stanford and MIT, has shown that allowing properly regulated new schools can bring dramatic improvements in school standards, especially for schools for poorer children in poor areas."

Tristram Hunt: Failure of Sweden’s free schools model is a lesson for UK
Updated: 13:41, 03 April 2014

Labour today leapt on the first closure of a flagship free school and warned of a potential nose-dive in British classroom standards.

He spoke as Discovery Free School in Crawley prepares to close following a series of damning inspection reports.
He highlighted figures from the international PISA study showing that no country had fallen so abruptly in maths over the last 10 years as Sweden, going from 17th in 2003 to 38th in 2012.
Education Secretary Michael Gove has previously hailed Sweden as the “closest model” for what the Coalition is trying to achieve.
“And it’s having a detrimental impact on school standards here. We know that for the Tories, this is where they want to take schooling.”
