have to acceptlah watever, kutukan ke, pujian ke, because itulah dunia celebriti. tapi bagi aku, beck mmg hampes taun ni. ngan kelab, mula2 je bagus. ngan engle kat euro, hancus abis. bagi aku,dierlah punca engle balik awal. aku setuju ada satu artikel kata eriksson tak brani substitute beck, walaupun main teruk. tak cam scolari, brani tukar figo, top & popular in portugal.

aku tak berapa setuju ngan kenyataan tu. Bolasepak game berpasukan, so kalau satu team tak dapat berfungsi ngan baik, pemain world class pun tak boleh buat apa2.Jgn salahkan becks sorang, owen pun ada juga kelemahan dia, banyak chances depan gol pun tak dapat convert.Ingat tak WC 2002, England vs Brazil.... tak kan nak salahkan David Seaman semata-mata? :ah:

So aku rasa tak adil becks dijadikan alasan england out awal. Euro 2000, becks cipta 60% gol england, tapi england masih out pada group stage :ah:

You must remember, he's the kapitan! Kalau kapitan dah tak depat give strong influential, abislah anak buah yang lain.

This is factlah, kalau kita tengok ranking beck after setiap perlawanan, dia paling rendah. Owen not so bad, walaupun dia score one goal je, dia banyak assist. Ingat tak yg dier thru ball untuk roon score?semasa scholes score, berpunca dari cubaan dier juga, bola rebound, roon heading kat scholes.

Bagi aku, beck memamng hampes kat euro 2004! :kant::kant:

Dalam game-game qualifying pun dia banyak mencipta gol dan score goal himself.remember, that england has to qualify for portugal :ah:

David Beckham has admitted for the first time that he was not fit to lead England's ill-fated attempt to win Euro 2004 - and that his recent problems on and off the pitch have been taking a heavy toll.
The England captain, who has been widely criticised for a series of largely anonymous performances in Portugal, claims that an inadequate fitness regime at his Spanish club left him well below his peak physical condition.

Beckham said: 'I don't think we've done as much conditioning work at Real Madrid as we used to do at Manchester United [whom he left in 2003].

'I didn't feel as fit in the second half of the season as I did in the first half. Maybe that's the way the Spanish game is.'

Asked if his lack of fitness had spilled over into Euro 2004, he replied: 'Yes, maybe it has.'

Beckham has had to defend himself since England lost on penalties to Portugal in the quarter-finals in Lisbon Thursday night.

Sources inside the England camp say he was well below ideal fitness levels when he joined the squad. Fitness coaches had to give him extra sessions.

Beckham also suggested that recent troubles, including claims that he betrayed his wife Victoria by having two affairs, have been getting on top of him. 'It has been tough this season on and off the pitch because of certain situations, but I am strong enough,' he said.

'I've got to be strong because I am a father who has got to look after two young boys and my wife. When I'm down they pick me up and when they're down I pick them up.'

But he insisted: 'I will overcome this.'

First and foremost, aku kata kat euro 2004 beck memang hampes! Aku tak mention lain, hanya tertumpu kat euro 2004.

Satu lagi aku terlupa. What about the missing penalties. They were very very costly.

Kalau lah penalty tu masuk masa lwn france, should be a different story. Engle should be leading by two goals. Then, the penalty shoot-out. Ni takyeh ceritalah, sakit ati je.

it is high time people (and the coach) look beyond beckham's superb freekick.

besides his freekick - beckham has nothing to offer.

He CANNOT kick a penalty (which is a free kick)

He CANNOT run. His workrate is low. he doesn't tackle and help out with defence.

He CANNOT dribble.

He dare not run into space eventhough there are plenty - evident from the match against Portugal.

His spare time is not devoted to football or thinking about football but advertising (and other stuff - if u know what i mean).

There are plenty of players capable of taking the captain's armband from beckham. sorry - i 'd always thought beckham's appointment was only temporary when Shearer retired.
