[News] FTIsland continues as 1st place in many music charts for 3rd week!
The k-pop success young group FTIsland continues in the 1st place in many music charts in the 3rd week showing that their popularity's growing up fast.
The FTIsland debut work song 'Sarangahlee'(Love Sick) continues in the 1st place for the 3rd week at the online music site Tukwon and Jukeon Chart (between July 23rd ~ 29th).
FTIsland who's composed by Lee HongKi(vocal), Lee JaeJin(bass), Oh WonBin(guitar, vocal), Choi MinHwan(drum), Choi JongHun(guitar, piano) just 2 months after their debut had gained 10 different awards as 1st place from various music charts and tv shows.
TuKwon represent sayed: "FTIsland boys are being seen only in great situations from career growth and their popularity's too with their work song ranked the most famous Top10 and progressing fast."
Last week the guys had grasp the 1st place followed by Mc Mong in the 2nd place and close by Mc To Makes in the 3rd place.

[News] FT Island wins SBS Ingkigayo Mutizensong
Kpop World's Super New Artist FT Island won first place on music ranking program with their debut titlesong 'Love Sick' for the first time.
FT Island won the first place as the Mutizensong while filiming SBS 'Inkygayo,' which will be aired on the 29th.
They're bringing storms to the Kpop world with their record of winning 1st place on television after only 2 months since their debut.
On this day, FT Island also took 1st place on M.Net 'MCountdown' held at Seoul 88 gymnasium. Following their win on the 19th, this is their second win 2 weeks in a row.
FT Island is also ranked #1 on recent online music sites and mobile rankings.
With all of its members in their teens, FT Island is appealing to their fans and bringing in a new wave with their fresh faces and musical talents.

Hongki: ahh feeling... well before that, our manager deceived us. He said that we lost and we should try harder. So we went up to the stage to cheer for our sunbae (Li Ssang)...and then our name came up so we were really surprised.
We almost couldnt say anything.
tk: I was there as an Mc that day and Hongki was so overjoyed that he stuttered abit. And then Jonghun, the leader, seemed like he wanted to say something. What did you want to say?
Jonghun: Well because Hongki was stuttering and stuff, I thought 'ah Hongki is shaking.' So I was gonna take the mic from him but he went on talking nonstop. So Hongki ended up saying everything that I wanted to say.
tk: So then, lets try that again. Pretend like you just won first place and say what you wanted to say but couldnt.
Wonbin: Well...Hongki said it all for us.
ehk & tk: All of it? Thats impressive.
Tk: We really like the song 'Love Sick' but is there other songs that you each thought 'This song, I knew it was gonna be popular,' while recording it?
FT: We liked all the songs but we didnt think they were gonna be this popular.
Ehk: But the song is really really good. Vibe's Ryu Jaehyun wrote it, right?
Hongki: Yeah, he taught us alot as we were recording it.
He showed us how to really feel that love.
Ehk: I guess its because you're really young and haven't experienced that love yet...but when I heard the song, I could really feel that passion.

Tk: He sings really well and recently, they stood on a really big stage.

FT: awesome?
Ehk: I guess you overworked yourself. I heard that Hongki's throat is hurting...

Jaejin: Well it was a big stage and sunbaes were all around us, so we felt we were being watched and felt really pressured. We tried to look as cool as we can but we think we made alot of mistakes.

tk: To be honest, they are extremely talented people.
Jaejin: aw, thank you!
ehk: So by now, there wont be that many who doesnt know about 'Love sick' and FT Island...but for those who wants to know about them more, we want to do some FT Island questioning.
Tk: We did some investigation.
Ehk: Ah yes we did some investigation. Even though the album only debuted two months ago, your preparation period took a really long time...? How long?
FT: around 2 years.
Ehk: All five of you prepared together for 2 years?
FT: yes
ehk: boarding together?

Ehk: then you should all feel like brothers by now.
Ft: You know so well.
tk: Honesty, you fight alot too, right?
Wonbin: a little at first.

Tk: Lately, theres alot of dance groups and vocal groups...FT Island is very young and debuted as a band. Why?
Hongki: Well, we had friends that did music...Minhwan & Jaejin have been doing music even before the audition.
Jonghun has been playing piano for 8 years along with keyboard.
and Wonbin has been studying vocal with me.
ehk & tk: ahh~
What about you, Hongki?
Hongki: I was doing acting and music together.
Tk: You were a child actor.
Tk: you were acting...and what got you into music?
Hongki: I was doing acting and music together...my original dream was to become a super star (a celeb who does everything!) so I've been studying various things...and at first, I took up acting and then I got an opportunity to sing while shooting a drama, and alot of people approved it. So I decided to try singing and went back to studying vocal.
Ehk: Everyone else are first timers to television?
FT: Yes
Ehk: Wonbin, you shot alot of movies and dramas (LOL)
Tk: Speaking of which, you know that Wonbin lines in drama 'Autumn in my heart?' "Love? dont kid me!"
Ehk: He might have not seen the drama because he was really young back then.
Wonbin: I havent seen it.

Tk: So then, Eunhyuck will demonstrate Wonbin's line. Then when FT Island goes on some other show and they ask you to perform individual talents, they'll definitely ask Wonbin because you have the same name as the actor. If you share a name with another celeb, they ALWAYS call on you.
Ehk: Me too! They always ask me to do salsa dance and stuff because I share a name with Lee Hyuck Jae.
tk: So then Eunhyuck, please show us what it is to imitate Wonbin (actor).

Jaejin: We sang and then they gave us the title. It just appeared one day so I saw it and included it in my introduction.

Jaejin: Our first album is specially divided into two chapters for the sake of band's publicity. 'Emotional' chapter has emotional songs and 'island' chapter has bright and upbeat songs that we like to try. Our 'emotional' chapter featured works by some of Korea's famous composers and 'island' chapter features works by Japanese musicians.
So we have alot of good songs and its a full album, not a single.It has 13 songs and not just our name means treasure but all 13 songs are like treasures to us.
Ehk: Ahh you've prepared so well.

FT Island is caught in Plagiarism Crisis.
"We are not just pretty faces. We'll compete musically" This was the declaration made by the group of main voal Lee Hongki, Lee Jaejin (bass), On Wonbin (guitar.vocal), Choi Minhwan (drum), Choi Jonghun (guitar.piano).
Their debut title song 'Love Sick' is extremely popular and has won first place for SBS TV 'Inkigayo' only after a month. It is written and composed by Vibe's Rhu Jaehyun.
The problem is that this song is believed to resemble the song 'Resolver' featured in Japanese drama 'Sorakara' (Million stars falling from the sky). Starring top star Kimura Takuya, 'Sorakara' has been named 2002's best Japanese drama. It was popular in Korea and its title song is also familiar.
If you listen to two songs, their melodies are extremely similar. Piano stringing is almost exact! It might be reasonable to say that only the words have been re-written over it. There is a netizen who uploaded the combined (one after the other) version of two songs. They flow smootly like one. There's no awkward parts.
Even the lyrics seem partly recycled. 'Love Sick's 'Did you have to leave me so far away?' was also used in Vibe's song in 2003 'If the time is given in a day.'
Netizens are outrated. There are movements that propose "We have to send the song to Japan and get answers."
The recording company, however, is standing strong. The law regarding plagiarism isnt clear and if the original song writer does not address the concern then theres no problem.
F&C Music's section chief Kim JaeMyun said "I heard the title song for the Japanese drama. Contact the composer. I dont want to tell you his contact number, so you figure it out on your own. Team leader Kim Jinmin expressed a nuance of admittance: " I agree with what the reporter thinks."

The new man idol band FTIsland oppened the pics from their new MV 'Cheodung'(Thunder) where all the members are in schooll uniforms to the public in their official website, that music video is the succeeding video the 'HangBokHabnida'(I'm Happy) video.
In their most recent music video the FTIsland member Lee HongKi appears in the two videos showing his interpret art as a hero from the stories that involve two different love stories.
The young success actress Min Hyu Rin, from the drama 'MyungFumko', was specially invited to performes in the new FTIsland music video and she performed together the FTIsland member Lee JaeJin who interpret a bodyguard who loves a young middle-school girl interpreted by Min Hyu Rin.
The new FTIsland music video was recorded in the last days July 24th 'till 27th at a Seoul middle-school and the stories talks about the love between a pupil boy with his teacher against the school violence, had participated from the recorders young people from the FTIsland same ages in a school where already had been produced almost 10 different school dramas.
All the FTIsland members will appears in the 'HangBokHabnida'(I'm Happy) and 'CheoDung'(Thunder) music videos performing as young middle-school guys and FTIsland had been published the mv's pics in their oficial website to promote the two music videos to their fans.

One month after their debut, 5 member pretty boy band 'FT Island' went on and off the popular music charts, and was busy filming Mnet's 'Star Watch 24'.
On the 19th of this month, F.T Island reached the top of the charts wih their debut song, 'Love sick', on Mnet's M Countdown. The youngest member, Minhwan, was so happy that they won first place, that they say he kept crying for 30 minutes even after coming down from the stage.

[News] FT Island on a mission to hold Live Concert
The handsome FT Island, in order to hold a concert, in which they'll prove their skills, is on a mission to collect 100,000 fans.
FT Island will appear on a reality show 'MTV Treasure Island' shown on cable music channel MTV and visit their fans on august 10th, 5 pm.
Five Treasure Island consists 5 teenage handsome boys. They're a band with vocal & instrumental skills and visual. They are currently showing off their individual talents through their title song 'Love Sick,' written and composed by Vibe's Ryu Jaehyun.
However on show programs they have limited opportunities to show off their instrumental skills, and so number of fans that doubt their skills is increasing.
Crying out against this situation, FT Island members requested for a live concert. Their representative replied "It is troublesome to open up a live concert for a new group." He suggested that he'll open up a live concert only when their fanclub members reach 100,000.
For a new group that has been working only for 2 months, collecting 100,000 fanclub members is a big challenge. Members, however, are not giving up. Their reality show will reveal the members setting up their fan cafe and frequently posting video files and replies in order to collect 100,000 fans.
FT Island's Lee Hongki (vocal) said "We wont say that our instrumental skills are the best. But its unfair that our skills get questioned when we cant perform as much due to tv program regulations." He revealed his ambition, "If all the members work together, I'm certain that we'll soon be able to meet with the audience at a live concert."
