nak goreng lagi...pinjam drpd Bangingud (coz tu yg nearest answer so far ) & di elaborate..
US dollar = economy = pengaruh
US nampak kuasa wang yg boleh menguasai ekonomi negara lain secara halus.
bila dollar dilaburkan ke atas projek2 diluar negara, hasil projek or imported goods akan masuk balik ke US. the cycling process tu make big profit.
umpama niaga atas angin.
malangnya bila ada negara yg meminjam dari bank Dunia, duit dpt dlm bentuk dollar (yeke?) so, lagi la terikat negara trsebut dgn currency US ni.
betul kan ye, itu gorengan ku... |

its not percetakan matawang palsu.
its the innovativeness of monetary policy (cetak wang) in a leveraged manner (post bretton woods).
search keyword: fiat money, bretton woods, gold standard |

Aku jawab pulak lah...
Kertas duit is the biggest export because it's a business, used as a reference by many countries, and the most exchanged currency in the world. Is that correct, darkbaron? |

ni contoh forummer yang aku suka baca postingsnya kalau bab camni. suka baca cara dia explain things, cemana dia masukkan contoh in real life, relate policy (macro) to actual scenario (micro), case study details diberikan tu tunjukkan hands-on experience, dan bila dia conclude tu dia nyatakan opinion dia. hustler la...
camni, baru dapat betul-betul kutip ilmu... |

Yeap modal dia memang murah every bill that is printed costs only 4.3 us cents TO PRINT. Actually even the use of the term 'US dollar' is salah kerana the currency that the US is using now is NOT ISSUED by the Treasury Department of the US. It is ISSUED by the Federal Reserve Bank which is not i REPEAT is not a part of the US Govt. If it is not a govt entity it can only be a public entity or a private entity which in turn means that private individuals have a vested interest in it be it one person, 10 person or 1000 persons but all are private individuals with their own interests and agendas at heart. In the case of the Federal Reserve Bank it is a private entity because it is not listed in any stock markets. Jadi the correct terminology for this currency should be Federal Reserve Note = FRNs.This paragraph of mine is in reference to the paragraph from wik below
From wiki
A Federal Reserve Note (FRNs or ferns, not to be confused with "Federal Reserve Bank Note";) is a type of banknote issued by the Federal Reserve System and is the only type of American banknotes that still circulates today.
Federal Reserve Notes are fiat currency, with the words "this note is legal tender for all debts, public and private" printed on each bill. (See generally 31 U.S.C. |

Hmm..all of ur replies are good but not to the crux of the matter. ok its clue giving time again. In Bangingud's post in #97 he uses the EXACT word that is DIRECTLY related to the question of 'Why is the US Dollar, America's biggest export?'
Lets try again shall we? |

Mind if I join the discussion?
Just want to give it a shot.. Expanding US money supply cause devaluation of the dollars, and leads to a widening of US trade deficit. So they end up exporting dollars to pay for the excess goods. Another thing, the rise in fuel price increased global demand for dollars to buy crude oil. US trading partners and crude oil producers who hold large amount of US dollar invested some of this windfall in US stocks, bonds and assets. We can see the recycling of dollars into US economy and that explains why dollars is currently the US biggest export.

I think, US dollar is the biggest Americas export, because there was an agreement with OPEC to price oil in U.S. dollars exclusively for all worldwide transactions.
This gave the dollar a special place among world currencies and in essence 揵acked |

One of the main reason that the world was not told...that is why the United States attacked Iraq......well, Iraq started to uses Euro for its oil trading (under the regime of Saddam Hussein) to loose its dependency on US dollar.
When Hugo Chavez suggested for Euro instead of US dollar for its oil trading, CIA launch an operation to overthrow chavez which its fail in its mission. Hugo chavez was almost assasinated by CIA agent (read a few months back newspaper)...well, I do noty know what happened next, Chavez then sticked back to US dollar.
Iran started to used euro for its oil transaction last month., and it was estimated that Iran has second biggest oil reserve in the world still waiting for drilling. Now, this means a big threat to the US dollar. |

The main reason that made US asuperior in its economics is like this :
If we learnt history, we'll figure out that for an empire to gain wealth is thru 2 ways:
1. by imposing tax on its citizen or the famous one
2. by imposing tax on other nation state.Take Rome for example. These 'tax' not only in the form of gold but also in the form of slaves. |

Now, how does the US empire stays in its power and uses its dollar to "impose tax" on the whole nation, globally? |
