Nick Lachey and MTV VJ Vanessa Minnillo are keeping their globe-trotting romance hot and mileage-heavy!

Following last week's romantic getaways to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Atlantic City, NJ, sources confirm exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Vanessa has joined Nick in Toronto and the two are getting their lovin' on in Canada.

Nick's in town to perform at tonight's Much Music Video Awards, which Perez will be at, trying to get THISCLOSE to Mr. Lachey.

Hopefully Vanessa will sneak in and be hanging out backstage!

JESSICA SIMPSON is furious with former friend VANESSA MINNILLO and insists the TV presenter has betrayed her by dating her estranged husband NICK LACHEY.

Minnillo and Simpson became fast friends after meeting at an MTV event in 2003 and frequently enjoyed "girls' nights out" together. And now Minnillo's father, VINCENT MINNILLO, confirms, "Vanessa is friends with Jessica. In fact, (Vanessa, Jessica and Nick) have gone to clubs together and had fun." The trouble between the former pals reportedly began when 32-year-old Lachey asked Minnillo to star in his music video WHAT'S LEFT OF ME, which documents the end of his marriage to Simpson. A source says, "Jess was bothered by that, but she was willing to let it slide because she knows how badly Vanessa has wanted to get into acting."

To make matters worse, Simpson confided in her friend when her marriage was breaking down and Minnillo encouraged her to leave Lachey if she wasn't happy. After seeing steamy photos of the new couple kissing in Mexico, Simpson was crushed even further. The source adds, "It's painful and hurtful, but it just reinforces her decision to leave Nick."

MTV host Vanessa Minnillo has laughed off reports her freshly divorced new boyfriend Nick Lachey is still pining for ex wife Jessica Simpson - as she insists she and the pop hunk are very happy together.

The 25-year-old starred in Lachey's music video What's Left of Me, which is based on the break-up of his marriage to Simpson.

She tells Hollywood columnist Perez Hilton, "Nick's a really great guy. He's very sweet and we're really happy."

Minnillo claims the couple are dating each other exclusively and are determined to make their relationships work, despite the fact that she lives in New York City and he lives in Los Angeles.

She explains, "There are certain sacrifices that we make. I'll travel with him on tour. He'll come to visit me.

"We see each other as often as we can. We're gonna make it work."

Lachey will be joining Minnillo in New York City over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, where he is set to perform at the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular Tuesday (04JUL06).

Minnillo, who was friends with both Lachey and Simpson before they divorced, claims she still likes Simpson, who is scheduled to appear on MTV's TRL with Minnillo to debut her new single A Public Affair on 19 July (06).
She adds, "I like Jessica. I'm a big fan. She's got a great voice and great style. She's amazing."

Days after officially ending their three-and-a-half year marriage, Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson are moving on with their new single lives.

After performing on the "Today" show, Nick was spotted leaving his Manhattan hotel with rumored new girlfriend MTV VJ Vanessa Minnillo on Monday.  Despite living on opposite coasts, Minnillo recently told Perez Hilton "We're gonna make it work."  

Vanessa better hold on tight to Nick because she's not the only one who finds the singer attractive. Nick was just nominated for Choice Hottie at this year's Teen Choice Awards.

With her new single "A Public Affair" and its sexy video, Jessica Simpson is ready to launch the sexy divorcee chapter of her new life too.

The singer will unleash her acting chops again in the upcoming film "Employee of the Month" which stars her rumored new hook-up Dane Cook. Although the couple have been spotted out on the town together, Simpson and Cook maintain that they're just friends.

In Hollywood the end of one power couple can only mean the start of two more.

Nick and Vanessa are trying to be low key about their relationship but it's also very obvious they want to make this long distance relationship work. The couple were seen at LAX and having lunch in Bel Air. Nick just announced he is going on tour in September and October to 26 US cities. How's that for a birthday present Jessica? The real question is if Vanessa will be joining Nick on his tour.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo brought their PDA tour to the New York City club Butter Monday night, where they partied with fellow celebs, danced and kissed throughout the evening.

Lachey, in jeans and a button-down shirt, and Minnillo, in a red dress, began the night chatting in their booth with Russell Simmons before Minnillo danced on the banquet to Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" and "Gasolina."

When Jay-Z's "99 Problems" came on at around 12:45 a.m., Minnillo indulged Lachey in what would be the first of several lap dances.

Shortly thereafter, she was up on the banquet again, dancing with Jamie-Lynn Sigler to the Jackson 5's "Want You Back" and "Sweet Home Alabama."

When Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" came on, Minnillo settled into Lachey's lap and sang it to him. But the song that Lachey enjoyed the most was the Rocky theme, "Eye of the Tiger," which got him waving his arms and moving his head to the beat.

Later, Lachey did shots with Wilmer Valderrama, who was holding court with friends including Erika Christensen.

Finally, Lachey and Minnillo left at 3 a.m., holding hands.

A rep for Lachey had no comment.

Nick and Vanessa on "TRL": The Anti-Chemistry

Nick Lachey made a much-anticipated appearance on MTV's "Total Request Live" this afternoon with current squeeze Vanessa Minnillo co-hosting, and the chemistry was crackling -- between Nick and co-host Damien Fahey, that is.

Despite the fact that the two were just laying it on one another thick and heavy at New York's Butter nightclub the other night, Nick and Vanessa barely looked at each other during Lachey's appearance on the show, and no physical contact between the two was noted even when Vanessa passed just in front of Nick on the way to look out the window. What's more, their one moment of banter, when Minnillo made the observation that Nick is "everywhere," inspired a deeply awkward response from Nick.

Indeed, Nick, who was premiering his new video, left Vanessa (and the audience) wanting, much as he did Monday afternoon at a Manhattan restaurant, when, despite her best efforts, she couldn't get Nick to give her a kiss.

Nick did, at Fahey's considerable urging, plant one on a very happy mother who, somewhat creepily, came to the show with her daughter, and who said she'd been a fan of Nick's "gorgeous" face since he was in 98?.
