ANEKA MANISAN & PENCUCI MULUT [DESSERTS AROUND THE WORLD]

Salam all...

Saya penat cari resepi bakhlava ni kat sini, tapi tak jumpa... tak tau kalau saya tak berapa nampak agaknya... ada sesiapa yang tau buat manisan ni?

akak ada resepinya..dlm buku...nanti akak korek dulu..

bakhlava nih bahan utamanya filo pastry, kacang pistachio dan madu ..dibuat berlapis2...kemudian bakar.. rangup dan manis

betul coki, baklava originated from turki, pernah buat nanti kena cari resepi coz dah berzaman tapi tapi berapa minat manis2 ni..

Thanks Kak Noor & Lady... kalau ada resepi tu, kak Noor tempeklah ye... rasa teringin pulak... hari tu ada jumpa resepi dalam internet... tapi bila buat tak berapa jadi...

Baklava ni memang manis... saya pun tak berapa suka sebenarnya manis-manis, tapi masa di UK dulu, selalu makan yang tak berapa manis... ada satu kedai orang Turki ni di UK dulu, memang ada jual bakhlava... yang tu tak berapa manis... sedap... tapi bila saya makan yang orang Arab buat masa raya, rasa manis sangat pulak, tak boleh makan banyak-banyak....

Kalau yang tak berapa manis tu, sedap sangat... crispy... tambah pulak suka kacang-kacang ni

akak suka gak makan mende nih..selalu beli je..makan sekeping dua ok lagi...byk2 tak leh, manis sgt..kalu wat sendiri boleh kurangkan kadar kemanisannya kan..

pada bulan Mei 2006 lalu kakliza mendapat emel dari seorang kenalan siber [ahli Resepi.Net]..
dia telah mencuba bakhlava ni dan mengirimkan resepi tersebut untuk kkliza cuba tapi kkliza belum lagi mencuba kerana philo doh ni tak der kat Kertih...

so kkliza rasa boleh sesiapa yg sudi mencubanya..

"A Greek favorite that makes everyone think you are a master chef and is sooo easy to make!! I taught a Greek friend how to make apple pie and she taught me this fabulous recipe. The phyllo dough for this recipe is found in the freezer section of most grocery stores. Add a little lemon zest to the sugar sauce, if desired."

BAKHLAVA

INGREDIENTS:
1 (16 ounce) package phyllo dough
1 pound chopped nuts
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup honey

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F(175 degrees C).
Butter the bottoms and sides of a 9x13 inch pan.
Chop nuts and toss with cinnamon. Set aside.
Unroll phyllo dough. Cut whole stack in half to fit pan.
Cover phyllo with a dampened cloth to keep from drying out as you work.
Place two sheets of dough in pan, butter thoroughly.
Repeat until you have 8 sheets layered. Sprinkle 2 - 3 tablespoons of nut mixture on top.
Top with two sheets of dough, butter, nuts, layering as you go. The top layer should be about 6 - 8 sheets deep.
Using a sharp knife cut into diamond or square shapes all the way to the bottom of the pan.
You may cut into 4 long rows the make diagonal cuts. Bake for about 50 minutes until baklava is golden and crisp.
Make sauce while baklava is baking. Boil sugar and water until sugar is melted. Add vanilla and honey. Simmer for about 20 minutes.
Remove baklava from oven and immediately spoon sauce over it. Let cool. Serve in cupcake papers. This freezes well. Leave it uncovered as it gets soggy if it is wrapped up.

BAKLAVA

Makes 24

450 g walnut pieces, finely chopped
100g caster sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
450g frozen (thawed) phyllo pastry
225 g butter, melted
350g honey

1.Mix chopped walnuts, sugar dan cinnamon, set aside
2.Cut sheets of phyllo pastry into 33x23 cm. In greased 33x23cm baking dish, place 1 phyllo pastry sheet, brush with some melted butter.Repeat with more phyllo sheet and butter until there are 6 rectangular sheets of phyllo in dish
3. Over pyhllo pastry in baking dish, sprinkle one-quarter of chopped walnut mixture
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 to make 3 more layers (4 layers in total) Place remaining phyllo on top of last amount of walnuts: brush with butter
5. Preheat oven to 150扖/300扚/gas 2 With sharp knife, cut just halfway through layers in triangle pattern to make 24 servings
6. Bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes or until top is golden brown
7. In small saucepan over medium-low heat, heta honey until hot but not boiling. Evenly spoon hot honey oev hot baklava
8. Cool baklava in dish on wire rack for at least 1 hour

dlm resepi atas nih guna walnut..yg biasa akak makan depa buh pistachio..mana2 kacang kegemaran boleh buh lah camnih :cak:

Cranko u carik kat supermarket..bahagian puff pastry tuh sumer (bahagian frozen)..kat sini (tesco) byk..pastry2 nih

okay dah jumpa my version of baklava....tapi gambo takdok pasal zaman tu dok gila snap snap lagi.....

BAKLAVA

A/
12 sheet Phyllo pastry

B/Filling
&#190; cup pistachio nuts
&#190; cup pecan nuts
&#190; cup walnuts
6Tb brown sugar (nak kurangkan manis bubuh 4Tb sahaja)
1tsp cinnamon powder
1/2tsp cloves powder
&#189; orange rind (dari satu orange parut &#189;)

C/Syrup
&#189; cup water
&#188; cup honey
&#188; cup orange juice
&#190; cup sugar (boleh kurangkan pada &#189; cup)
&#189; orange rind (balance another &#189;)

D/
250gm melted butter

1. Chop ketiga2 jenis nuts, not too coarse and not too fine.
2. Masukkan bahan2 B lain dan gaul rata.
3. Masak bahan2 C (syrup) hingga didih. Tuang 1/3 daripada syrup kedalam kacang tadi sekadar cukup untuk bindkan kacang.. Tepikan.
4. Potong kertas gris  lebih besar saiz dari phyllo sheet tadi. Susun 1 layer atas grease paper dan sapu melted butter atas sheet tadi. Ulang hingga layer yang ke 12.
5. Potong  2 seperti dalam gambar sekali dengan grease paper dibawah.



6. Tolakkan separuh phyllo sheet ke dalam tin 7

Bakhlava ni peberet asben..suuuuuuuukaaaaaaaa sgt..everytime pi kedai paki mesti beli. Baru2 ni, tgk kat tv ada dia tunjuk cara buat, takla susah sgt, igtkan susah..resepi macam yg kat atas tu la..

kebetulan ada kat rumah ni ha..
