A MAN and his wife pleaded not guilty at the magistrate’s court here today to cheating a businesswoman of almost RM600,000 in an investment scam two years ago, reported Kosmo!
Sheikh Saidey Nor Sheikh Abdul Rahman, 43, and his wife Sofia Affendi, 42, both claimed trial after the charges were read to them before magistrate Mohd Azlan Shah Mohd Allias.
Sheikh Saidey was charged with duping Raja Farhana Raja Ali, 36, to hand over a cheque for RM314,535 and RM282,626.73, purportedly offering investment programmes to lease a number of hotel rooms in Mecca and Madinah.
He was alleged to have committed the two offences at Restoran Remaja Bandar Baru Uda, Jalan Tampoi, between 8.30pm and 11pm, in April 2015.
His wife Sofia was charged with abetting her husband in committing the two offences against Raja Farhana at the time and place.
Both of them face a maximum jail term of ten years with whipping, and also liable to fine, upon conviction.
The magistrate allowed bail of RM90,000 for each accused in one surety and ordered them to surrender their passports to the court. Case re-mention has been set for Feb 7. |

Kalau aku dah pikir 2-3 kali dah, sebab teringat cerita-cerita kutu haprak sengkek MLM menabur janji pulangan ratus ribu tapi sembangnya di kedai mamak. Sembang letop ratus ribu tapi order takat roti kosong sekeping air teh tarik segelas.

hat ni ka yg kaki penipu yg bila org marah sbb melabur tak dapat2 hasil, gi psiko guna segala ayat quran, hadis, salahkan pihak yg melabur, hati x cukup bersih la, ibadat x cukup ikhlas la, sbb tu tuhan tak izin lagi dapat untung banyak melimpah ruah hasil pelaburan nya tu? hahahhaha |
