depression on fluvoxamine...buleh bf baby tak?

Salam semua..nak tanye pasal my friend ni...ade depreszion on fluvoxamine 75mg...akan bersalin soon..doc kate buleh breastfeed baby...tapi dekat kotak ubat tulis contraindication untuk bf...dan sy try tolong google tak jumpa pulak evidence pasal effect terhadap baby...harap sape2 buleh bantu...thanks.... |

hmm tak sure lah.
im not a psychiatrist but am familiar with meds in general as a doctor
dalam publications dan dalam research, kata mmg fluvox is eecreted into breastmilk, tetapi the levels are very low. infact it is considered relatively safe (ada publication yg kata if >300mg/d barulah levels high enough) |

Tq doc..dia dah bersalin pun.kena refer paeds dan paeds tak allow bf..
Apepun sy pun tak jumpa article yg cakap kesan pada baby..maybe tak banyak evidence lagi.. |

hmm.. paeds tu tak familiar with psychiatric mds kot. if dia tak familiar, dia (paeds tu) kena consult a psychiatrist lah. bagi sy, ada evidence kata takpe, maka medically will go ahead.
