Cable thieves disrupt MRT train service on Sungai Buloh line
KUALA LUMPUR: Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train services towards Sungai Buloh line was interrupted when a group of men trespassed the station, allegedly to steal cables on the railway. A RapidKL spokesman when contacted confirmed the intrusion, adding that more information was being gathered. In its Twitter post, RapidKL said following the intrusion at the MRT’s alignment near Kwasa Damansara station about 6pm, power had to be temporarily shut down for safety of all parties and to allow security team to arrest the intruders. It was learnt that a man was arrested while two other managed to flee. The intrusion had halted the operation between Kwasa Sentral station and Sungai Buloh station, and commuters were transported via feeder buses deployed by RapidKL.
