Fantasia release single soon
'Idol' Fantasia Releases Debut Single :pompom: :pompom: :pompom:
Fantasia Barrino will soon find out if America is ready to buy her debut single.
The "American Idol" winner's "I Believe" is being released Tuesday.
The song, written by former "Idol" contestant and recording artist Tamyra Gray, was performed by Barrino during the "Idol" finals last month.
The show's runner-up, Diana DeGarmo, will release her debut single next week.
Barrino is the third winner of the annual competition, following in the footsteps of Kelly Clarkson (interview) and Ruben Studdard.
Her short-term goal is to make an album that will appeal to a lot of people. Her long-term goals include acting, a clothing line and working with teen centers in her home state of North Carolina.
Barrino said she also wants to be a role model for single moms. She has a 2-year-old daughter, but isn't married -- and says that shouldn't be held against her.
She said a lot of people still put unwed moms down -- but that was one of the things that inspired her to try to win the television talent competition.
Barrino said she feels she has been forgiven by God and that people should also be willing to let her go on with her life.

'Idol' Winner's 'I Believe' Hits Stores

RALEIGH, N.C. - Fantasia Barrino's first single hit stores Tuesday, and the "American Idol" winner hopes it's only the beginning of a long and varied career.
"Man, I want to do everything. I want to do some acting, I want my own clothing lines," Barrino told AP Radio. The 19-year-old single mother also wants to build activity centers for teenagers in her home state.
"There's a lot of young people out there on the streets who think that's what life is all about. I want to do some heavy, heavy stuff in North Carolina," Barrino said.
On Tuesday, Barrino released "I Believe," the song she performed after she was announced the winner on the "American Idol" season finale in May. A new album and the 48-city American Idols Live tour this summer, which kicks off July 14 in Salt Lake City, should keep the singer busy. But Barrino's faced challenges before, such as those who doubted she could achieve her dreams after having her daughter.
"They said to me that I couldn't do it. And I said, 'No that's not true. You know, if God forgave me then you guys can forgive me too. Life goes on and I can do it.' And I did it," Barrino said.

Fantasia is 1 of my fav. but aku harap latoya yg menang. diana langsung tak best, best masa top32 je. jasmine lagi la.. nasib baik dia x menang.. penat aku gaduh dgn filipino kat idolfan
