What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.

The song called "Without a Goodbye"

I'm waiting for your heart to wake

So you will ask me to stay.

My heart is impatiently waiting around

To hear the words it's begging you to say.

But if I remain and the words never come,

  It's a pain I don't think I can take.

So I should go now without a goodbye

And you'll never have to see these tears I cry.

I should go now without a goodbye

And I won't have to hide the pain in my eyes.

I made the decision to walk away

And now there's so much distance between you and me.

Now you're so far away, so very far away.

Will you always remain out of my reach?

It's easy to lie myself but

I fear my stupid heart will never be free.

So I left without a goodbye

And you'll never have to see these tears I cry.

  I left without a goodbye

And I won't have to hide the pain in my eyes.

Now it's been so long since I touched your face

I can't stop thinking of those days.

I'm looking back at your photos

And wondering if it's wrong for me to say.

I'm here all alone and I feel weak.

Maybe I made a mistake when I walked away.

And I was wrong to leave without a goodbye

Because now you'll never see I want to try.

I was wrong to leave without a goodbye

Because now you'll never see the love in my eyes.

Ignorance can be bliss. Being in charge of the present is to have everything. Some have love, some have authority, and others are content with just having offspring. That is happiness to them. Ignorance is wonderful and very enviable.

However, crying is not necessarily a bad thing. It shows that there are still things in this world that can make you sad. If one can’t even feel sadness, then their world would be too bleak.

Killing one is a sin, killing hundreds makes one a hero, killing tens of thousands makes one a king, and killing millions makes one an emperor.

"Drive away and try to keep smiling. Get a little rock and roll on the radio and go toward all the life there is with all the courage you can find and all the belief you can muster. Be true, be brave, stand. All the rest is darkness."

"Not all boats which sail into darkness never find the sun again, or the hand of another child; if life teaches anything at all, it teaches that there are so many happy endings that man who believes there is no God needs his rationality called into serious question."

"Maybe there aren't any such things as good friends or bad friends - maybe there are just friends, people who stand by you when you're hurt and who help you feel not so lonely. Maybe they're always worth being scared for, and hoping for, and living for. Maybe worth dying for too, if that's what has to be. No good friends. No bad friends. Only people you want, need to be with; people who build their houses in your heart."

'Monsters are real. And ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win.'
  [The Shining]

Black is the absence of light, but white is the absence of memory, the color of can't remember.
  [Duma Key]

"We are judged in life for the evil we destroy. It is a bleak truth that there is nothing but blood waiting for us in the spaces between the stars. But the Emperor sees all that transpires in his domain, and we are judged equally for the illumination we bring to the blackest nights. We are judged in life for those moments we spill light into the darkest reaches of his Imperium. "
  [Grimauldus]

The best things in life are beyond money; their price is agony and sweat and devotion ... and the price demanded for the most precious of all things in life is life itself - ultimate cost for perfect value.
  [Starship Troopers]

"the difference between ignorant and educated people is that the latter know more facts. But that has nothing to do with whether they are stupid or intelligent. The difference between stupid and intelligent people—and this is true whether or not they are well-educated—is that intelligent people can handle subtlety. They are not baffled by ambiguous or even contradictory situations—in fact, they expect them and are apt to become suspicious when things seem overly straightforward.”
[Neal Stephenson, The Diamond Age: Or, A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer]

"The only thing worse than people talking about you is people not talking about you."
  [Picture of Dorian Gray]

"It's the questions we can't answer that teach us the most. They teach us how to think. If you give a man an answer, all he gains is a little fact. But give him a question and he'll look for his own answers."
[Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man's Fear: The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day Two]

"Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine! Then the fates will know you as we know you."
   [The Count of Monte Cristo]
