[Tempatan] ETS: Pengguna minta KTM upgrade sistem online. Beli melalui kaunter, 4 jam tempo

Terpaksa tunggu lebih 4 jam beli tiket ETS

KUALA LUMPUR - Orang ramai terpaksa menunggu lebih empat untuk membeli tiket perkhidmatan tren elektrik (ETS) di kaunter Keretapi Tanah Melayu di KL Sentral.

Jangka masa menunggu lama bagi pembelian tiket ETS di KL Sentral itu membolehkan seorang pekerja swasta pulang ke pejabatnya di Pandan sebelum kembali semula menunggu giliran kaunter tiga jam kemudian.

Situasi itu menimpa Nizam Abd Karim, 39 yang tenang menunggu giliran nombornya dipanggil di kaunter KTM ETS kira-kira jam 12 tengah hari tadi.

"Ini pengalaman pertama nak mencuba naik ETS bersama keluarga ke Padang Besar tapi tak sangka begitu susah nak mendapatkan tiket.

"Dari jam 8 pagi sampai dah ke jam 12 tengah hari saya perlu menunggu lebih 100 giliran lagi sebelum nombor saya dipanggil.

" Saya ada juga cuba guna sistem atas talian pula tak berjaya itu sebab ke kaunter hari ini, harap masalah sistem pembelian tiket ini diatasi," katanya.

Seorang kakitangan awam, Faiz Muslim, 34, sanggup datang dari Port Klang untuk membeli tiket ETS buat 15 ahli keluarganya ke Padang Besar, Disember ini.

"Saya tunggu dari jam 8.30 pagi tapi dah tunggu dekat 4 jam belum juga sampai giliran saya. Sampai rasa nak batalkan saja percutian ke sana.

"Tiket pergi dah beli, sekarang mahu beli tiket perjalanan pulang sebab masa itu tiket menghala Kuala Lumpur belum dibuka. Risau juga kalau pergi lepas tapi balik tersangkut di sana sebab masalah tiket ini," katanya.


Katanya, dia turut mencuba sistem atas talian semalam namun tidak berjaya menyebabkannya terpaksa ke kaunter untuk urusan pembelian.

"Ada tanda 'error' masa gunakan sistem online mungkin sebab jumlah pelayar dihadkan. Harap pengurusan KTM boleh keluarkan kos sedikit untuk naik taraf sistem ini untuk mudahkan pengguna.

"Sambutan pengguna terhadap ETS menggalakkan namun jika masalah sistem berterusan, saya bimbang ia akan memberikan kesan kepada jumlah pelanggan yang menggunakan kemudahan itu.

"Selain itu, saya cadangkan supaya kaunter khas disediakan untuk warga emas, OKU serta pelanggan yang memilih kelas bisnes. Banyak warga emas perlu menunggu lama di sini menampakkan perkhidmatan KTM seperti tak mesra pengguna," katanya.

Aktivis, Jude Sta Maria, 64 yang menjadikan ETS sebagai pengangkutan utama ke utara turut mengakui berdepan masalah dalam urusan pembelian tiket.

"Setiap Jumaat hingga Ahad saya akan ke Butterworth untuk kerja sosial mengajar Bahasa Inggeris dan sukan bola sepak di sana jadi saya akan gunakan ETS jika tidak memandu.

"Saya suka ETS kerana cepat dan selesa tapi nak beli tiket yang masalah kerana perlu menunggu lama. Tak semua pandai guna sistem online dan kebanyakannya akan ke kaunter jika ada pertanyaan atau urusan lain, jadi saya harap kelemahan ini dapat dibaiki," katanya.

Sementara itu tinjauan Sinar Harian di lokasi mendapati terdapat beberapa pengguna sedang berbaris bagi mendapatkan nombor giliran sementara puluhan yang lain sedang menunggu giliran untuk urusan pembelian di kaunter.

Rata-rata pengguna yang ditemui menyuarakan keluhan dengan situasi tersebut kerana perlu menunggu lama selain kemudahan sistem atas talian yang disediakan sebagai alternatif pembelian bermasalah.

iols baru nak try naik ETS

tak pernah naik keretapi kat Mesia walau iols selalu naik ketepi kat negara negara lain.

Sabtu lps first time nk try naik ets ni..tp x reti.kena beratur ambk no giliran rupanya..ms tu pkl 2+..receptionist ckp pkl 8 mlm br ada tiket..i nak urgent blk kg sbb makcik meninggal..last2 blk tido kat rmh je..

ktm ni takde duit nak buat scalibity test ke apa..
sistem takleh handle bila dah too many concurrent connection... mesti on premise kot... takde makna nak bercloud bagai... sian kat bbdk IT diorg.. keje truk. nak plan apa2 management kedekut n takde duit. tiket tu stakat cover kos operasi jah

Aku pernah nak beli secara online dan terus ke kaunter.. Tapi online problem.. Tunjuk ada tiket lagi.  Bila walk in kaunter dah habis.. Nangis aku

KTM sendiri kedekut duit nak upgrade sistem tempahan mrk. Server KTM asyik down bila trafik tinggi. Belajar la dgn syarikat lain spt SIA & Air Asia

klau nak banding dgn tm or tnb.. ktm still gaji ciput..

klau air asia infra depa bleh duk cloud.. bleh auto scaling... rasanya policy ktm still cam gomen.. everything on premise...

Penat la try dari semalam, loading aje pastu bila dapat masuk, tiket manjang takdeeeeee

Rasanya dari bulan 6 kot try beli tiket memang susah. Nak pergi KL Sentral ntah bila sbb fikir online kan ada.

Teringin nak try ETS ke Padang Besar.

KTMB apologises for online ticketing glitch

KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) has apologised for a technical glitch in its online ticketing system which disrupted the first day of its advanced tickets sales on Monday.

Its chief executive officer, Datuk Kamarulzaman Zainal, said the high volume of customers trying to purchase tickets had caused a disruption to its online ticket server.

“We usually sell an average of 12,000 tickets for 40 trains in a day.

“Yesterday, we had about 30,000 transactions since the sale began at 8.30am,” he said, adding that the server also registered 400,000 visitors yesterday, causing further technical issues.

Speaking at a press conference at the KL Sentral Station here today, he said KTMB has taken several immediate measures to address the issue, first by increasing internet bandwidth capacity from 100Mbps to 200Mbps.

“Secondly, we have increased the server capacity of the Centralised Processing Unit,” he said.

Kamarulzaman said that with the upgrade, waiting time for online ticket purchase will be reduced significantly, from 30 minutes to two minutes.

KTMB is currently selling 1.2 million tickets for the Electric Train Service (ETS) and inter-city trains for the traveling period between Dec 1 and Feb 29 next year. As of 10pm yesterday, KTMB managed to sell 57,441 tickets.

He said after rectifying the technical problem, a total of 77,000 tickets were sold.

“We are also trying to change the current system to a more stable one, in line with KTMB’s digitalisation programme which is expected to be ready by the third quarter of next year,” he said.

Kamarulzaman said the advance ticket sales period was introduced to facilitate planning for those intending to travel during the school holiday, Christmas and the Chinese New Year festive periods.

On the glitches, Kamarulzaman said the company will carry out a thorough investigation.

“We want to (determine) if there was any… element of hacking. Let’s give about two weeks for the investigation to complete. KTMB might also lodge a police report (if elements of sabotage are uncovered),” he said.

Tickets are available for purchase at all KTMB counters in Peninsular Malaysia, online at www.ktmb.com.my and the Mobticket app.

Some passengers at the Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station said that they had to wait in queue for over two hours for tickets during the disruption yesterday.

Ibrahim Long, 63, said KTMB should seriously look into ways to improve the ticket purchasing process.

“Buying train tickets online should be easy for everybody,” he said.

Another traveller, Raj Kumar, 44, urged KTMB to have a better contingency plan in preparation for huge online traffic volume.

“The process should have been smoother and there is also a need to have priority lanes for the disabled and senior citizens at the ticketing booths,” he said.

Another traveller, Chan Cheng Tuan, said customer service staff should be more aware of the waiting time and reach out to disabled customers.

Chan also said that she could not access the Mobticket application since early Tuesday.

semlm mmg online problem teruk... mak aku pon kena beratur  lama.. beratur dr pukul 9 pg.. pukul 4 ptg baru dpt beli tiket...

dah tau sekarang ni biz dah menggalakkan patutnya KTM kena la upgrade sistem tu...tambah public holiday dah dekat ni.. lps tu ramai yg nk beli tiket utk CNY lagi...

kalau untung dah berjuta tp masih tak mampu nk upgrade sistem online.. harap berkubur laa ya management..

sejak bile ktm ni untung sis...
mmg pengurusan hauk.. tp duit pun bkn ade pun nak upgrade... ni ade keperluan baru nak bertindak kot haha
