The Goseck circle is a Neolithic circle structure located in Germany. It was discovered in 1991, when a drought allowed the shape to be seen in a wheat field. The Goseck Circle is known Circular Enclosures associated with the Central European Neolithic. It also considered one of the oldest Solar observatories in the world.

The circle comprises a set of concentric ditches almost 75 meters across and two palisade rings containing gates in places aligned with sunrise and sunset on the solstice days. The structure has been radiocarbon dated to 4900 BC and remained in use until 4700 BC. Excavators also found the remains of what may have been ritual fires, animal and human bones, and a headless skeleton near the southeastern gate. As a result, many experts believe that the site could be interpreted as traces of human sacrifice or specific burial ritual.
