In a recent interview, she finally confirmed her break-up with married casino tycoon Alvin Chau.
Prior to this, there had been much speculation that she had received HK$300mil (RM158mil) as “break-up fee” from him. Lieu, who is of mixed parentage, has three children with 46-year-old Chau.
She currently lives in the United Kingdom with her children and works as a columnist for a magazine.
“Moving to England was the right decision, ” said Lieu, 35, explaining that it gave her family a semblance of normality away from the entertainment scene in Hong Kong.

Actress Nancy Sit, TV presenter Junior Anderson and TV star Luk Ho Ming were at the funeral home to pay their last respects on Monday. Other celebrities including Andy Lau, Louis Koo, Nick Cheung and Eric Tsang sent wreaths.
A frying pan was attached to 66-year-old Cordero’s wreath to her late husband.
“That’s because I want to continue to cook for him, ” Cordero explained later.
She said her son immediately returned to Hong Kong after hearing of his father’s death but was unable to attend the wake as he was still in quarantine.
“My husband was not in much pain when he died. We were facetiming our daughter and he even waved to his granddaughter.
“Rick laughed three times before falling back to sleep and passing away half a day later, ” she added.
Cordero and her husband were married for 21 years. |
