All systems go for launch of National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has arrived at the Presint 11 District Health Clinic, here, for the launching of the first phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

The health clinic is one of the 500 vaccination centres nationwide for the programme, which is being implemented in three phases until February next year.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin and Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba together with Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah were present to welcome Muhyiddin upon his arrival at 2.25pm.

Muhyiddin will be briefed on the vaccination procedure by the Putrajaya before the vaccination process begins.

The prime minister will be the first person in the country to receive the vaccine today followed by Dr Noor Hisham and four staff from the Health Ministry.
