fish pie - traditional dish of kiwi

alang nk share fish pie... ini makanan traditional org NZ... mmg sodap

fish fillet (white flesh @ salmon pun ok)
herbs (thyme, dill etc)
black pepper (kasar)
butter (2/3 sudu)
flour (2/3 sudu)
milk
mayonnaise
salt
onion
hard boiled eggs
mash potato/ bread crumbs
flake almond (bakar sikit kasi rangup dan wangi) optional
cheese (optional)

cara2
1. rebus ikan dhn herbs dan black pepper dan garam (semua secukup rasa) dalam non stick pot (tak yah letak air sbb air ikan tu akan keluar).
2. Bila ikan dah masak, flake kan ikan tu and put it aside.
3. Cairkan butter, dan masakkan tepung, kemudian masukkan susu gradually supaya tak bergentel dan kacau sampai cantik (make sure jgn cair sgt, kena pekat sikit la), then masukkan bwg, ikan dan mayo..
4. adjust rasa ikut kesukaan
5. Then masukkan ikan yg dimasak td dlm baking dish, pastu susun telur rebus yang telah dipotong2 tu kt atas inti ikan tu, then parutkan cheese.
6. Last sekali layerkan either mash potato or bread crumbs kat atas inti tadi. Kalau pakai mash potato, gunalah piping bag untuk pipekan mash potato kat atas initi supaya nampak lawa dan senang nak layer kan. then taburkan almond flake kat atas mash potato/bread crumbs
7. Bakar 180 degrees sampai golden cantik. Take out from oven and let it rest. pastu ngap....

Nk letak gambar tak reti...

Sorry Penyulawa. Baru ni terperasan ada soalan untuk kita la.

Polenta yang I beli tu memang kena rebus dulu. Kalau tak memang rasa dia macam berpasir. Rasa macam jagung tak direbus. So far I tak pernag beli soft polenta macam yang Mallan cakap tu. Tapi kalau dicari kat kedai tu mungkin ada kot...

Polenta or cornmeal yg I ckp tu boleh beli kat cold storage di bangsar. Dkt aisle health food. I dulu buat apple kek pakai yang ni. Instead of rebus, just rendam with boiling water.
