According to kanwa, In the Bosnia war, the Pakistan-made HJ8 ATM destroyed a large number of M84 (T72) tanks of the Yugoslavia army. (Kanwa News for full story, see Kanwa Jan 10 Issue).

Another sources;

limited numbers of these were used to great effect in and around Bihac (north western Bosnia). Usually Serb forces would just park a tank right in front of BiH defended locations and use it is as a form of mobile artillery. A French journalist saw irregular muslim units linked to the 5th Corp first use these missiles against three tanks bombarding a Bosnian held village. The results were spectacular - two tanks were destroyed whilst the third escaped. More importantly, the introduction of the "Green Arrow" caused a major shift in Serb strategy which prevented them deploying their tanks as mobile artillery/assault vehicles. The "Green Arrow" and even its percieved threat did a lot to counter the massive Serbian advantage in armour.

Aku ada baca somewhere dalam tank net forum yg Bakhtar Shikan yang digunakan di Bosnia ni walaupun berjaya memusnahkan beberapa aset amor Serbia namun menghadapi masalah "overguidance" yang menyebabkannya sering tersasar. China has turned out day/night combination Type HJ8L ATM. Its targeting system comes with a digitized control box. The whole system is much lighter than its earlier type HJ8 ATM system. It weighs 22.5kg, while the earlier HJ8 system was 65kg. Its thermal detection system has a detection range of 4,000m, and its recognition range of 2,000m. It is also equipped with thermal imager. The missile shooting range is between 100 and 4,000m. Its fire rate is 2 to 3 pieces a minute, elevation angle being 7 to +13 degrees and traversing angle being 360.

Brigadier Naveed Rahman from Pakistan Armoured Corps disclosed to Kanwa reporter that during the Yugoslavian Civil War, the Bakter Shikan ATM, a Pakistan version of HJ8 made in China, registered very satisfactory battle record. In that war, HJ8/ Bakter Shikan ATM achieved a over 90% of hits rate. This is the first time the Western reporters were informed officially that the HJ8 used in the Yugoslavian Civil War had been imported from Pakistan. Anti-tank expert from DR. A.Q. Khan Research Laboratories told Kanwa reporter that the whole turret of the T84 tank of Serbs has once been blasted off by HJ8/Shikan ATM at a distance of 2000m. But according to Pakistani expert, the shortcomings of HJ8 Series exposed in real field operation include excessive weight, operational requirement of two or more people, the unwieldy supporting stand, and its vulnerability in detecting in battlefield disguise. For this reason, NORINCO has recently developed its HJ8L ATM whose weight has been greatly reduced and structure of supporting stand much simplified.

Bakhtar Shikan yg dimiliki ATM mampukah menembusi kereta kebal leopard yg bakal memasuki perkhidmatan negara PCK atau kita perlu memperolehi sistem ATGM yang lebih berupaya seperti Konet atau Metis-M?

Adalah diharapkan ATM terus mempertingkatkan  keupayaan anti armor selain dilengkapi dengan metis-m, eryx dan rpg-7 dengan atgm lebih berupaya yg menyerang secara top attack seperti Javelin dan Spike..

Dengarnya ATM dahpun melahirkan keperluan untuk heavyweight peluru berpandu anti kereta kebal jarak jauh way before pengumuman pembelian kereta kebal jerman tu dibuat.

theoratical question. Apa jadi kalo tetiba program PT-91M tak jadi? Apa akan jadi?

Hmm aku pun ada dengar jugak permbelian ATGW berat tu...tapi tak tau jenisnya.

Pasal program tu kalau tak jadi? Meh aku jotos kepala siapa yang gatal nak batalkan program tu boleh tak?

Maknanya perisikan negara sudah dpt menghidu rancangan PCK utk perolehan leos jauh lebih awal sebab tu ATM bersedia dengan perolehan baru heavyweight ATGM?
