Karbaid bertindak balas dengan air membebaskan gas  acetylene (sejenis gas mudah terbakar).
1. Kira jumlah isipadu gas acetylene (dlm dm3) yang dibebaskan sekiranya 30.5g karbaid digunakan dalam tindakbalas berkenaan???
2. Bilangan molekul gas acetylene yang dibebaskan
(J.A.R: C=12g/mol, H=1g/mol, Ca=40g/mol, O=16g/mol)

Soalan 1:
formula bagi karbaid(calcium carbide) ialah CaC2.Formula bagi acetylene ialah C2H2.

Persamaan tindak balas:
CaC2 + 2 H20 ---> C2H2 + Ca(OH)2

Maka,1 mol karbaid menghasilkan 1 mol acetylene

Bil. mol karbaid=30.5/JMR karbaid=30.5/(40+12+12)=30.5/64=0.4765625 mol
0.4765625 mol acetylene juga terhasil.

1 mol gas menempati 24 dm^3.

Isipadu acetylene yang terhasil=bil. mol x 24 dm^3=0.4765625 x 24 =11.44 dm^3

Soalan 2:
1 mol atom atau molekul mengandungi 6.022 x 10^23 atom atau molekul.

Bilangan molekul acetylene=0.4765625 x 6.022 x 10^23=2.87 x 10^23 molekul.

hahahaha soalan tak clear
soalan yang sebenarnya apakah suhu untuk penghasilan polyester dari acid dan alcohol.....


musang, polyester masih boleh bertindakbalas lagi kalau ada catalyst .. yang nih depends on the catalyst dan higher temperature
