Adriano Galliani admits Filippo Inzaghi could leave AC Milan
The club's CEO feels the veteran striker may have to look elsewhere if he is to surpass the all-time record for goals in European competition
Filippo Inzaghi may be forced to seek employment away from AC Milan in order to break the scoring record in European competition, Adriano Galliani has admitted.
The 38-year-old striker was recently reported to be pondering a move in January, with Novara allegedly interested.
He has seen limited playing time this season, and the club's CEO believes that he may have to move to another club if he is to achieve his goals before retiring.
" ippo Inzaghi's dream is to set the record for European goals. He will try to do this with Milan, or possibly another club in the Europa League," Galliani told Sky Sports.
Inzaghi currently stands behind Raul on the list of all-time top scorers, with 70 strikes to his name. He has yet to feature in the Champions League this season, however, and has made just three appearances in all competitions.

Filippo Inzaghi may be presented with a way out of his Milan contract, through a move abroad to La Liga side Espanyol.
According to Catalan-based publication Sport, Los Periquitos are said to be considering a move for the 38-year-old forward this January as they look to reinforce an otherwise inconsistent front-line.
The report also goes on to indicate that Inzaghi is attracting interest from Lazio and two unnamed Premier League clubs.
The forward missed six months of last season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury to his knee and has struggled for full fitness this term, with Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri suggesting that he rarely trains enough to be considered for first-team involvement at San Siro
