:victory: :victory: Saya telah menonton filem U,ME aur HUM di pawagam dan apa yang boleh saya kata pd 2008 ini,SEORANG LAGI BINTANG telah berjaya sebagai pengarah yang baik selepas Amir Khan dgn TARE ZAMMEN PAAR . U,Me aur Hum menjadi bukti AJAY tahu apa yang penonton mahukan dr sebuah filem drama cinta sebegini. Walaupun plot di pinjam dr filem hoolywood, THE NOTEBOOK ( 2004 ) namun naratifnya berbeza dari filem tersebut. Filem Korea juga pernah menyalin filem ini secara total melalui  A MOMENT TO REMEMBER.Tidak seperti filem A MOMENT TO REMEMBER yg merupakan kembar seiras THE NOTEBOOK , U,ME aur HUM mengambil pendekatan naratif yang berbeza. Sama seperti THE NOTEBOOK,permulaan filem ini bermula dengan AJAY dan KAJOL yang sudah berusia.

Penonton kemudian dibawa mengimbas kembali bagaimana mereka bertemu di atas kapal persiaran mewah.Seluruh masa pertama filem ini berkisar tentang bagaimana cinta mula berputik di antara mereka walaupun pd mulanya Kajol sgt menyampah dgn Ajay. Naratif separuh masa pertama ini juga mempunyai subplot tentang kawan Ajay yg tidak bahagia dlm perkahwinan mereka ,dan kawan Ajay yang bahagia tapi tidak berkahwin. dlm separuh masa pertama inilah, ada lagu romantik,tarian ,komedi dan adegan percintaan yang menarik antara KAJOL dan AJAY sepanjang pelayaran. Segala-galanya cantik dengan gerak kerja kamera yang cemerlang, kostum yang menarik dan lagu-lagu yang sedap di dengar. Satu sahaja yang merosakkan separuh masa pertama ini adalah beberapa pelakon pembantunya yang gagal sama sekali .

walaupun melihat kegagalan perkahwinan rakan2 mereka, AJAY dan KAJOL tetap berkahwin dan adat apabila berkahwin dgn org yang dicintai, perkahwinan mereka sgt bahagia...sehingga menjadi contoh kpd rakan2 mereka. Namun, bukan lah nama nya kehidupan klau segalanya sempurna.... KAJOL di sahkan doktor mengidap penyakit Alzheimer's.Separuh masa kedua melihat bagaimana pasangan ini menghadapi krisis ini dan bagaimana pergorbanan seorang suami terhadap isteri dan anak yang diciintainya. Separuh masa kedua ini penuh dgn emosi ,ketegangan dan Ajay sebagai seorang pengarah telah berjaya meyakinkan penonton dgn sentuhannya.Kelemahan separuh masa kedua ini adalah editing. Editor boleh mengidit sekurangnya 15 minit dari naratif untuk memberi impak yng lebih besar.

:victory: Secara keselurunnya, U,Me aur HUM adalah sebuah filem yg sangat baik dengan sedikit kelemahan yg boleh dimaafkan kerana ini adalah buah tangan pertama pengarahnya. Sebagai seorang pencerita, Ajay telah membuktikan kebolehannya bercerita dlm masa 2 jam 30 minit naratifnya.Sinematograpi bertaraf antrabangsa. Lagu 2 karya Vishal bardwaj amat merdu dan tidak menganggu naratif filem ini. Musik latar untuk separuh masa kedua sgt berkesan.

Tidak dapat tidak, KAJOL adalah jiwa U,ME Aur HUM .Sememangnya beliau seorang pelakon berkarektor yang mapu mejiwai wataknya.Gandingan bersama suaminya sgt menjadi.

  Buat peminat KAJOL, anda pasti akan puas hati. Bagi yang pernah menonton THE NOTEBOOK, filem ini tidak akan mengingatkan anda kepada  THE NOTEBOOK kerana naratifnya berbeza dan pengarah telah berjaya memberi definasi dan jiwa tersendiri kepada filem ini .

Filem ini mengajak penonton untuk mempercayai cinta dan walaupun kehidupan ini penuh dengan rintangan yang tidak terduga ,namun usaha dan cinta mampu mengubah segalanya.

Quite a few reasons to watch U Me Aur Hum..

    * The movie marks the directorial debut of a very talented actor, Ajay Devgan.
    * Following in Aamir Khan抯 footsteps, Devgan too has acted, directed and produced the movie.
    * Ajay抯 co-star in the movie is his wife, arguably one of the best actress in the film industry today, Kajol.
    * Its also Kajol抯 first movie since the 2006 blockbuster, Fanaa.

Does U Me Aur Hum live upto expectations? Is Ajay a good story teller?
First, the story of U Me Aur Hum

U Me Aur Hum is divided into 2 parts. The first half is basically a simple love story on how Ajay (Ajay Devgan) woos Piya (Kajol). The second half tells us that marriage is not just sharing happy moments together but being there for each other at the time of distress. It抯 also about fullfilling eachother抯 dreams and promises made to eachother.

On a cruise, Ajay falls head over heals in love with Piya at the first sight. Although his first impression was disastrous, Ajay doesn抰 give up and tries everything possible to woo Piya. And by hook or crook he succeeds in paving his way to her heart. The two soon develop a strong and special bond of love but not for long. Lies and deceit puts an end to their newly blossomed yet strong relationship.

But love brings them together again and despite the failing relationships of their friends, the two tie the nuptial knot. Soon their marriage becomes the ideal marriage for their friends to look upon and learn. Call it fate or anything; their successful married life starts to tumble and they face a lot of emotional crisis. What leads to the fall in their successful marriage? Will they get back to each other and live happily ever after?
U Me Aur Hum Review

For a directorial debut, Ajay Devgan has done a good job. The story of a boy falling head over heels in love at first sight with bits of humor and a few songs, make for a entertaining first half. While the first half is a light entertainer, the second half is an intense drama, handled equally well by Devgan. But the problem with the second half is the length, the movie drags endlessly in the second half. Atleast 15 mins from the movie could have been easily edited off for better impact. The writing could have been better too, you hardly feel for the lovers when they part. Also the supporting characters are highly irritating, especially in the first half.

Scenes from U Me Aur Hum that stand out (Possible Spoilers)

- Typical Bollywood-istyle romance in the first half.
- The baby drowing scene in the second half - Brilliant!
- When Ajay finds Piya, lost on the middle of the road, right in front of her house!
- When Ajay confronts Piya in the second half.

The music by Vishal Bharadwaj is very good. The title track 慤 Me Aur Hum
