Inter director Marco Branca has confirmed Wesley Sneijder “will not play until we have made the necessary modifications to his contract” – a pay cut or January sale.
It is thought unlikely that the Dutchman will accept a pay cut when he is being offered considerably higher wages at Manchester City, Manchester United and Anzhi, so a January move looks inevitable.

Moratti keen to keep rebel Sneijder

Inter president Massimo Moratti says the club will try to hold onto Wesley Sneijder amid reports the club were set to send him to Paris-Saint Germain in exchange for Javier Pastore.
Sneijder, 28, was told he would not feature for the San Siro outfit after refusing to sign a new contract on lesser terms, while Argentinian playmaker Pastore has disappointed since his own move to the French capital.
But Moratti - speaking to Sky Italia - played down the reports and stated his belief the Dutch midfielder will agree a new deal.
He said: “An exchange between Pastore and Sneijder? No, we’ll keep Wesley as he is the best out there. There has already been too much talk about Sneijder. The problem is in the media more than anything else and I have an excellent rapport with the lad.”
“When he returns to the disposal of Andrea Stramaccioni, he will be an added bonus for the squad.”
Sneijder's situation has alerted Manchester United and Manchester City, while Russian side Anzhi are also believed to be monitoring his availability.
Pastore, however, seems to have little desire to return to Serie A at this point in his career as he said: "I spent two wonderful years with Palermo and I would go back to Italy, but not at this point. I'm happy in Paris and want to stay here."

pastore is not a bad replacement. but a swap deal between sneijder and pastore is highly unlikely.

i can see why the management wants to get rid of him. his wage is too high. plus, dude is made of glass. but at least treat him with respect. no class whatsoever from the managament
