Tottenham Hotspurs. Why should I??. ......and you.

No offence PP, beeha kewl... tapi Arse anal is obvious no. I mean, tsk tsk tsk, camonla. A team yang perlukan 2 perkataan untuk terangkan perihal satu benda?. Nak guna arse ke nak guna anal ni?? Lagi make sense saya rasa kalau guna nama arseboobs ataupun arsepussy, insinuate double pleasure. Tapi arse anal?? My gawd. Untill mereka figure out yang arse and anal are practically in the same team..., i mean, same thing, . Saya tak subscribe to them Arse anal. The team, i mean.

(Yea yea yea names calling tak kewl tapi dengan nama team as provocative macam ni, just can't help it.)

Wattahell, sapa lagi..

Manchester United. Hampir saya pilih tapi there's this one boy band Linkin Park. Personal reason until saya tulis di sini..... The year was 2001. Awek skirt biru. Her name was Helena (nama sebenar). Dump saya just because saya tak nak pegi konsert band belia neraka ini. Kenapa dia nak pegi? Sebab satu setan yang nama dia Chester Bennington, the vokalis. Dipendekkan cerita sesiapa yang ada kaitan dengan perketaan 'Chester', maka saya akan ada isue dengan dia. First cut is the deepest. Setau saya, reason sebenar Vovin pilih team ini adalah kerana dia juga peminat Chester, the vokalis band lahanat itu. Dia ingat ini team untuk Fan Club Chester Bennington (see....Man Chester United).

Then, It's cool to pool tapi to share liver? Meh. Euwwwww, grosss kata cikgu ngaji saya dulu.

Anak presiden bill clinton dulu. Tak cun pun. Chealsea Clinton. Lagipun, saya tak minat manager mereka, Jason Lo. Muzik dengan business perlu jalan seiring betul tapi rock always kena come first before business. Tengok team still water yang popular masa era late 60's dulu. Lepas new manager masuk, terus dia tinggalkan Dolly the bus, dan naik kapal terbang. In the name of business, tengok apa jadi pada team mereka. Some people never learned.

Lalu bawa saya ke ini...

Tottenham Hotspurs.

Saya memang berfikir panjang lebar serta secara mendalam tentang team ini. Always thingking there's sumthing about them. Tottenham Hotspurs. Tootenham Hotspurs. TooHensem Hotspurs. Too Handsome Hotspears. Too Handsome Hot Spears. I can't go wrong with them, can I??

Sebagai pengulas paling makes sense dekat sini, suka saya memetik kata kata Peter Tosh, pengurus team Jamaica untuk kita renung renungkan.

"Don't care where you comin from, As long as you're black man."

Selamat Berpuasa.

Laju betul Usain Bolt.

Man,,,, now saya tau kenapa main sokong-sokong team bola kena banyak begadoh.

International round-up

Four of our players hit the target as 14 took to the field on international duty from Friday afternoon to Saturday night.

Jermain Defoe, Robbie Keane, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Giovani dos Santos grabbed goals for England, Republic of Ireland, Russia and Mexico respectively.

JD's fine strike in the friendly win against Slovenia has seen further calls for England coach Fabio Capello to start him in the World Cup qualifier against Croatia on Wednesday.

Robbie Keane hit his 40th goal for the Republic in a 2-1 win in Cyprus to maintain their good position just behind Italy and ahead of Bulgaria in Group Eight.

Roman scored twice from the penalty spot just before half-time as Russia beat Liechtenstein 3-0 in Group Four on Saturday.

Gio was the star of the show with a goal and two assists as Mexico beat previous leaders Costa Rica 3-0 in San Jose in North, Central American and Caribbean qualifying. Meanwhile, Wilson Palacios was suspended as Honduras beat Trinidad & Tobago 4-1.

bila tahan gak strikers Spurs ni...:pompom:

Spurs hopeful over Bassong

Tottenham are hopeful of Sebastien Bassong being fit of the BPL clash against Man United despite missing Cameroon's clash against Gabon.

The 23-year-old picked up a slight knock to one of his knees against the same opponents last weekend and missed the return clash on Wednesday night, although Paul Le Guen's decision to leave him out of the squad was thought to be down to selection rather than injury.

Fellow centre-back Ledley King is also confident of playing against United after recovering from a groin injury he suffered during the last-gasp win over Birmingham before the international break. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp already has Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson sidelined.

"We are looking to get some of our longer-term injured players back now like Michael Dawson, Gareth Bale, Jonathan Woodgate and Jermaine Jenas," Redknapp said.

"They should all be coming back to fitness pretty soon and when they do return it will make the squad even stronger."

Niko Kranjcar could make his Spurs debut against United after arriving from Portsmouth, with Redknapp insisting he was interested in the Croatia midfielder before Luka Modric suffered a fracture to his right leg.

"We went for Niko Kranjcar in the last couple of days of the window and we got him," Redknapp said.

"It was always my intention to bring Niko in, regardless of the injury to Luka Modric.

"I know Niko from my time at Portsmouth. He is a great talent and a terrific lad.

"He was in the last year of his contract and I know there were other Premier League clubs trying to take him but I felt he was a terrific signing for us."

Spurs mmg nasib tak baik biler lawan MU ni....

Run ends at the hands of the champions

Jermain Defoe's first minute strike was rendered meaningless as champions Manchester United inflicted our first defeat of the season with a 3-1 win at White Hart Lane.

The in-form striker's acrobatic effort after just 55 seconds gave us the best possible start as we looked to build on the four straight wins that have kicked off our campaign.

But goals from Ryan Giggs and Anderson turned the tables before half-time and Wayne Rooney finished the job with 12 minutes remaining, despite the sending off of Paul Scholes mid way through the second half.

It marks the end of our 100 per cent record so far this season, which had seen five straight wins in all competitions.

With Luka Modric absent through injury, Peter Crouch was rewarded for his goalscoring appearance off the bench last time out against Birmingham with his first Premier League start for the Club.

The big man partnered Defoe up front, with captain Robbie Keane coming in off the left in a ‘Modric role'.

Deadline day signing Niko Kranjcar started on the bench, along with fit again Heurelho Gomes and Jermaine Jenas.

United were themselves boosted by the return of Rio Ferdninand, who made his first start of the season after injury.

The match marked the launch of our newly formed Global Team Ambassador role with Special Olympics. In a nice touch prior to kick off, the teams were led out by 14-year-old Special Olympics athlete Azele.

It was an unforgettable occasion for that young man, and it did not take long for another memorable moment to arrive once the match kicked off.

Just 55 seconds in, and after an early spell of Spurs pressure, Crouch climbed above Nemanja Vidic to meet Benoit Assou-Ekotto's deep ball and nod down for Defoe, who found the back of the net with a perfectly timed overhead volley from six yards out.

It summed up the confidence flowing through not only team, but also the man himself, with this already being his fifth goal of the domestic season, not to mention his goalscoring exploits for England.

Being champions, United were never likely to be shell-shocked, and they looked to hit back almost immediately.

Scholes put a shot wide from 20 yards after a direct run, while Darren Fletcher forced Carlo Cudicini into a smart save at his near post just minutes after the deadlock was broken.

We continued to press up until the equalizer, with Crouch crossing low just beyond the despairing reach of Defoe six yards out after good work from Wilson Palacios on 22 minutes.

It would have gone down as a chance, and as we all know, chances against a team like United need to be taken. Just two minutes later, they were back on level terms.

Palacios brought down Dimitar Berbatov just outside the box, and the evergreen Giggs stepped up to swing a fantastic free-kick into Cudicini's top left-hand corner.

Cue a spell of pressure that ultimately led to the visitors taking the lead.

Cudicini tipped a Berbatov volley over the bar and we had Sebastien Bassong to thank for clearing the same player's effort off the line on the half-hour mark.

But after Crouch headed narrowly wide from a Tom Huddlestone corner, United got their noses in front four minutes before half-time.

A short corner was played to Scholes who fired into the area, and the ball was cleared only as far as Brazilian midfielder Anderson, who struck his low first-time shot past Cudicini.

Jenas entered the fray at half-time on his return from a calf injury, replacing Palacios who was on a booking in what had become a fiery encounter.

It was the returning midfielder who teed up Keane six yards out two minutes after the restart, but a great block from Vidic denied the skipper.

On 54 minutes, Jenas forced Ben Foster into the save of the match with a curling effort from 20 yards, which the England stopper flew through the air to tip around the post.

Crouch struck the crossbar with his head from the resulting corner as we showed all the belief needed to keep this game alive.

Another boost came when Scholes received his marching orders just before the hour mark for diving in on Huddlestone to earn a second booking.

But it only served to prompt United to tighten things up whilst continuing to hit us on the counter-attack.

Cudicini kept us in the game with an excellent reflex save from Rooney after his 66th minute counter-attack.

With 20 minutes left, Patrice Evra adventured forward from left-back and hit a shot against the side-netting at the goalkeeper's near post.

Harry Redknapp introduced Kranjcar on 72 minutes in the hope of unlocking the door, but United put the game out of sight with just over 10 minutes to go.

A Spurs free-kick was cleared and Rooney broke on the counter, taking on and beating both Assou-Ekotto and Alan Hutton before coolly sliding under Cudicini.

Spurs (4-4-2): Cudicini; Corluka (Hutton, 69), Bassong, King, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Huddlestone, Palacios (Jenas, 46), Keane (Kranjcar, 72); Crouch, Defoe

Abe Keano mengamuk....:pompom:
Robbie Keane grabbed four goals as we put Burnley to the sword with another five-star display in Saturday's 5-0 win at the Lane.

This was the fourth time we've hit five goals this season after Hull, Doncaster and Preston and the skipper led from the front with finishing right out of the top drawer.

Most importantly, it was a return to winning ways in the Barclays Premier League after losses against United and Chelsea and we now have a proud record of five wins in our opening seven matches.

The damage was done in a dominant first half display as Keane's penalty and Jermaine Jenas' 20-yard strike put us 2-0 up and completely in control.

Burnley re-organised at half-time and competed well for the first half-hour after the break but were hit hard by a Keane one-two after 74 and 77 minutes to put the issue beyond doubt.

The Irish international completed an afternoon to remember with his fourth three minutes from time.

Harry Redknapp made seven changes to the side that beat Preston so convincingly in the Carling Cup on Wednesday night.

In came Carlo Cudicini, Vedran Corluka, Sebastien Bassong - fit again after his injury at Chelsea - Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Aaron Lennon, Niko Kranjcar - his first start - and Keane for Heurelho Gomes, Alan Hutton, Michael Dawson, Gareth Bale, David Bentley, Giovani and hat-trick hero Peter Crouch.

Burnley also lined-up 4-4-2 and noticably pushed Joey Gudjonsson up alongside front men Steven Fletcher and David Nugent to stop us comfortably bringing the ball out of defence.

That made for a scrappy start but we soon got to grips with it as Jenas showed the way in the 10th minute, speeding away from Gudjonsson before releasing Jermain Defoe through on goal. He had time to measure his finish but Burnley keeper Brian Jensen's big frame stood firm and he blocked with his feet.

The opener was always going to be key and it arrived after 17 minutes...

Defoe was left one on one against Andre Bikey on the right side of the box, skipped past him and was chopped down for a blatant penalty. Keane made it look simple from 12 yards for 1-0.

Burnley fired a warning shot when Fletcher's 'goal' was ruled out for offside after 25 minutes - a close call - but it was one-way traffc for the rest of the half.

A wonderful one-touch passing move involving Assou-Ekotto, Keane and Jenas opened it up for Defoe but the striker placed his shot wide from close range.

The second goal arrived with 33 minutes on the clock and owed much to Keane holding off the attentions of Bikey on half-way and still managing to send Kranjcar away down the left. Kranjcar's shot was blocked, the ball ran to Jenas who controlled and drilled a low half-volley into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

Defoe tried his luck twice - it wasn't to be his afternoon - and Lennon then looked to square to the striker when he might have shot himself.

Robbie Blake provided the final action of the half with a shot comfortably saved by Cudicini and you got the feeling that Owen Coyle was pleased to hear the half-time whistle.

Blake fired another warning shot at the start of the second half, a better effort this time from the left corner of the box that Cudicini got down to well, but play soon switched to the other end and Defoe was denied again one on one by Jensen.

That was Defoe's last action as he limped out of the action, replaced by Crouch, 57 minutes on the clock.

After a somewhat scrappy period, Burnley were almost handed a route back into the game in bizarre fashion in the 69th minute. Cudicini made a routine save from Tyrone Mears' free-kick, but lost control of the ball, allowing Blake to nip in - thankfully, he hit the post from a tight angle.

Any hopes the visitors had of getting back into the game evaporated with a quickfire double from Keane.

The third came with 74 minutes on the clock and was set-up by Jenas' fine pass inside Jordan to release Lennon down the right. The winger took his time, spotted that Keane had peeled into space and his pass invited Keane to rifle into the roof of the net - he obliged.

It took only three further minutes for Keane to claim his hat-trick. Huddlestone picked out his run between defenders and delivered the pass and Keane took his time before planting a low shot across Jensen into the far corner.

Burnley were now reeling and Keane wasn't finished. With three minutes remaining, he raced onto Crouch's flick and drilled past Jensen at his near post for his fourth goal and our fifth.

And there was still time for three more golden chances!

Keane crossed for Crouch to head wide from six yards, Keane was then inches away from a fifth goal himself and our sixth when he slid in for Lennon's cross and he was there again deep into added time, when he this time opted to try and find Palacios in front of goal.

That move broke down - but it was Keane's day in the September sun.

Spurs: Cudicini; Corluka, Bassong (Dawson, 87), Huddlestone, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon (Bale, 84), Jenas, Palacios, Kranjcar; Keane, Defoe (Crouch, 57). Unused subs: Gomes, Hutton, Naughton, Bentley.

Burnley: Jensen; Mears, Carlisle, Bikey, Jordan; Elliott, Alexander, Gudjonsson, Blake (Guerrero, 80); Fletcher (Thompson, 72), Nugent (Eagles, 63). Unused subs: Penny, Duff, Caldwell, McDonald.

menang lagi...team hebak...

Jermain Defoe scored the winning goal, but also saw red as the team gathered three points with a 2-1 victory at Fratton Park.

Ledley King opened the scoring and Defoe doubled the advantage right on half-time, but Kevin Prince Boateng reduced the deficit and it was a tense finish with 10 men until Michael Brown was also dismissed in the final moment.

Defoe, who was probably fortunate not to be booked in the opening minute for a chopping challenge on Aruna Dindane, ventured forward into space and warmed the hands of David James for the first time moments later. The little hitman perhaps then should have scored from an Aaron Lennon cross following composed promptings from Jermaine Jenas.

Boateng, presented with a Player of the Month award before the game, fizzed in a free-kick that Dindane did not quite get enough of his head on to trouble the restored Heurelho Gomes.

With nine minutes on the clock Tom Huddlestone threaded a superb ball into the path of Defoe and the striker drilled a low shot past James, but off the inside of the post when an opener looked the likely outcome.

Pompey then should have scored when a dash down the left by Tommy Smith resulted in the ball being squared in front of Dindane, who fired over the bar from right in front of goal.

Gomes made a stunning contribution on 25 minutes when the home side were awarded a free-kick following a Jenas foul on Boateng, for which he was cautioned. Younes Kaboul stepped up and thumped in an effort that struck Smith and Gomes somehow reached up and diverted away from goal. A breathtaking save.

With the clock nearing 30 minutes a deep Niko Kranjcar corner led to King rising high above two defenders and steering a header high into the top corner past James, who appeared to be caught in two minds over whether to stay or come for the ball.

Then right on half-time excellent work by Huddlestone and Jenas resulted in the latter gliding into the area and dispatching a precise low cross that Defoe was able to prod a toe at and James was beaten.

The advantage was doubled and Fratton Park was not a happy place, bar one end of the ground at the break.

The second half began with Keane, Defoe and Lennon breaking on two Pompey defenders and it took Kaboul to make up some ground and deny Lennon adding his name to the scoresheet, while there was a spot of confusion between Gomes and Vedran Corluka at the other end that had the home fans screaming for a penalty. Mr Dowd was not swayed.

Jenas was doing sterling work for the team at both ends, making vital blocks, challenges and interceptions at the back, while offering speed and guile going forward. His workrate was making light of the loss of Wilson Palacios.

Peter Crouch was called from the bench on 56 minutes, taking the place of Keane, while giving the home fans someone else to boo, while they might have had something to cheer if the athleticism of Gomes not diverted a Smith lob. Dindane was then guilty of another miss in front of goal after being teed up by Smith.

The deficit was reduced just before the hour when a deep cross found the unmarked Boateng and the ex-Spur smashed low into the net at the near post. Boosted by the goal, Portsmouth then found themselves with a one-man advantage when Defoe was given a straight red card for a tangle with Aaron Mokoena during which he stepped on the former Blackburn player.

To help stem the inevitable tide. Harry Redknapp responded by introducing Wilson Palacios, with Kranjcar making way for the Honduran who had just returned from international duty.

Gomes was forced into another brilliant point blank stop to deny Hassan Yebda, who volleyed goalwards, connecting with a cross from Frederic Piquionne.

Piquionne headed across the face of goal on 84 minutes, before Michael Dawson was drafted in to replace Huddlestone - adding another centre half to the mix.

Lennon could have sealed it when clean through on goal, but slotted wide before Brown was sent off for a second yellow after tripping Lennon on the run.

That knocked the spirit out of Portsmouth and five minutes stoppage time was finally bought to a close.

Gomes’ save against Portsmouth resembles famous Banks’ effort in 1970 World Cup, says Jennings
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 05:49:00
LEGENDARY goalkeeper Pat Jennings feel s Tot tenham’ s Heurelho Gomes’ save from Younes Kaboul at Portsmouth last Saturday is right up there with the great Gordon Banks’ save from Pele.

Heurelho Gomes

One of the finest goalkeepers to ever grace the game, Jennings, who played 673 games for Spurs between 1964 to 1977, described it as a "miracle save". The save came in the first half of Spurs’ 2-1 win at Fratton Park.

Brazilian Gomes, also known as "The Octopus", was already diving to his right to get to Kaboul’s piledriver of a freekick when the shot took a deflection off Tommy Smith, diverting the ball back to the centre of the goal.

In a split-second — and as he was still diving the other way — Gomes was able to fling his left hand up and not just reach the ball, but divert it away from goal. The score was goalless at the time and it was the first of three worldclass saves which helped Spurs take three more precious away points.

"It was an unbelievable save," said Jennings, who made plenty himself in a career that spanned over 1,000 matches for Watford, Spurs, Arsenal and Northern Ireland.

"Gomes was obviously going for the initial shot but it took the deflection and for him to get a hand to it the way he did having already committed himself to diving the other way was incredible.

"For me, it was like the Banks save against Brazil. It was a miracle save," he told Spurs’ website.

England hero Banks’ save against Pele in the 1970 World Cup in Mexico is considered the greatest ever. Starting at his near post, Banks had to race across his line to meet Pele’s downward header and the ball was behind him when he managed to dive to his right and somehow scoop it over the bar.

Jennings, 64, was back with the goalkeepers at Spurs Lodge in his continued role as the club’s goalkeeping consultant. He sees Gomes as a matchwinner.

"He made a lot of top-class saves during the match against Pompey and that’s what we’ll always say about him — he’s capable of making the saves that can turn a game. That was certainly one of them."

Pavlyuchenko mahu tinggalkan Spurs

- Reuters
