slm...anyone doc here bleh xplain psl ni x?...i was diagnosed this mse wat d&c aritu....simptom2 : period x lancar, sikit n just coklat2 jer..no heavy flow...period came evry mth but pjg dlm 9 to 15 days but skit2 je kua...n mse doc wat ultrasound nmpk my womb lining tebal sgt2... doc kate mybe cos of the blood yg x turun hbs...i'v been married for 7 yrs n still not preg...huk2...yg i riso is doc says if ths disease not cured, it can cause cancer but the % is vry low...only 3%...but still worry so muc smpi x selera mkn, xley tdo n not happy ( ....now doc bg i mkn DUPHASTON frm day 5th of period until 25th day...then stop period dtg n cont balik on the 5th day again...wait until 3 cycle n then come back to do TVS/ u/sound balik...huwaaaa rse mcm nk nngihhh jeeee..

Definition
Endometrial hyperplasia is an abnormal proliferation of the endometrium (i.e. greater than the normal proliferation that occurs during the menstrual cycle). It is a risk factor for the development of endometrial carcinoma.

Pathogenesis
There are four types of endometrial hyperplasia:

Simple
Complex
Simple atypical
Complex atypical

90% of cases of simple and complex hyperplasia regress spontaneously. In one study progression to carcinoma occurred in:1

1% of patients with simple hyperplasia
3% of patients with complex hyperplasia
8% of patients with simple atypical hyperplasia
29% of patients with complex atypical hyperplasia

There is a high prevalence of underlying endometrial adenocarcinoma among women undergoing hysterectomy for any type of atypical endometrial proliferation.

Mengikut satu study (Kurman RJ, Kaminski PF, Norris HJ; The behavior of endometrial hyperplasia. A long-term study of "untreated" hyperplasia in 170 patients. Cancer. 1985 Jul 15;56(2):403-12.) 1% drpd wanita yang mengalami simple endometrial hyperplasia (hyperplasia bermaksud sel2 tuh bertambah banyak bilangannya drpd normal dlm ultrasound nampak dinding uterus tebal) without atypia (atypia bermaksud sel yang tak normal).

Jadi mengikut study tuh dalam 100 wanita yang ada simple endometrial hyperplasia without atypia dalam seorang akan mendapat kanser selepas itu. Untuk menenangkan hati buat follow up dgn gynae. me wat laps n dye..pastu doc suggest d&c sbb dinding rahim tebal...but now aft operate still tebal..dunno why..

i've this problem too...

doc bagi provera 5mg kena ambik 6bijik sehari...lps mkn 2bln lebih bleeding yg sgt teruk...3minggu..ada sampai 18pad sehari...ketul2 toksah cerita lah ada besar tapak tangan yg kuar....senggugut/backpain sumer complete...tak tahan sgt sampai pegi emergency...lps 3bln appointment scan tgk dinding dah nipis sikit...aritu 20mm lebih...dah tggl 8mm....doc still ambik tissue untuk check....skang ni tggu apnmt blm mei nnt...

sabar lah miss nak buat camno...

sy plak lepas operation ada hyperplasia no atypia. kena makan ubat jugak selama 3 bulan. jumpa balik doc lepas 3 bulan and ada lagi kena berterusan makan ubat 3 bulan lagi.

apa beza without atypia and no atypia?lepas 3 bulan ok dah ke?

Puas mencari sesiapa yang ada pengalaman dengan penyakit ni, akhirnya bertemu juga di forum ini....saya pun telah didiagnosis dengan endometrial hyperplasia witout atypia pada pertengahan tahun lepas (2014) setelah menjalani laparoscopy dan D&C. Telah mengambil pil hormon provera untuk rawatan hyperplasia ini selama 6 bulan namun nampak gaya badan tidak bertindakbalas baik dengan provera. Doc ada sarankan saya ambik suntikan lucrin tapi saya tolak.

Selepas refer dengan doc lain sebab saya nak buat IUI/IVF untuk conceive, 2nd opinion yang saya dapat adalah saya boleh proceed buat IUI/IVF memandangkan ketebalan rahim masih relevan untuk penempelan. InshaAllah, tak akan berhanti berusaha untuk mendapatkan zuriat...usia perkahwinan telah mencecah 5 tahun 2 bulan lebih...
