Splice collaborated with two members of the Composer Diversity Collective for this extensive sample pack: Ángel Vázquez, a Puerto Rican composer and producer nominated for the Latin Grammy Award, and Pablo Langaine, a Mexican American composer, producer, songwriter, and guitarist. Together, they crafted a rich cinematic realm of sounds that blend Latin American folklore with contemporary music expressions.

Instruments indigenous to their respective cultures, such as the Mexican Jarana, Requinto, Puerto Rican Cuatro, Charango, and a 7-string Baritone Guitar, were expertly fused by Ángel and Pablo with modern string quartet components including cello, viola, and violins. The result is an immersive journey of sounds that evokes deep emotions.

Drawing inspiration from the musical scores of TV shows and video games like The Last Of Us and Fallout, Camino Nocturno: Dystopian Journey offers a visually striking, dark, epic, and spiritual exploration of a post-apocalyptic Latin America. The authentic sound palette of this fictional score paints a vivid picture of a narrative set in 2053, thirty years after a pandemic unleashed by an AI virus transforms its hosts into human-killing robots, leading to the collapse of society.
