Christians say we live once, Buddhists insist on rebirth. Who to believe then?

soul has consciousness,  consciousness not necessarily a soul, everything has it's own consciousness including an atom, but the level of consciousness is different according to the level of evolution.

What you speak of is the Mind, NOT the Soul. There are TWO DIFFERENT things altogether.

In my opinion, Buddhism is barking up the wrong tree. It concerns ONLY toward the Mind and how it will affect the human physical state (the body). Therefore, Buddhism is in par with Psychology and should not be considered as a religion or a belief system.

What we do know about the Mind are these :-

1. The Mind dies with the physical body.
2. The Mind is affected by chemical changes to the body (like drugs and hormones).
3. The Mind is ever changing and never static (unchanged).
4. A person can have MORE than one Mind (like myself) within a single physical body.
5. The Mind is NOT the Soul.

As I have given the definition of the Soul - stable, immovable and present throughout the Universe, it is clearly not the Mind. What is presence throughout the Universe is Energy and it is evident that Energy can be condensed into physical form and create its own "Mind" to exist.

So therefore, we can conclude that Buddhism DO NOT deal with Spiritualism.

First of all, you have NO idea what a Soul is.
Second, you have NO idea how Reincarnation works.
And finally, Islam and Christianity are just nonsense created by a Roman Emperor and an Arab madman who have NO IDEA what Spiritualism is.

Soul can "decay"? IF Souls can decay (which means they will die/destroy) that it is no use calling it a Soul. Soul should able to survive Death and able to exist without the need of a physical medium. That is the first and foremost condition of being a soul. IF a Soul can die, then it is USELESS to save it - which means your Buddha lived a useless life trying to find a way for Enlightnment. What is the use of Enlightnment if in the end, everything (including the Soul) dies.

Understand these simple facts :-

- Christians reject Reincarnation because if they accept, then that could make Jesus's sacrfice in vain. What is the use of Jesus dying if a Soul can be given second (or third or more) chances to improve himself after death? What the hell we need Jesus for then?

- Muslims reject Reincarnation because they are lazy ba$tards incapable of Spiritualism. That is why even why they are still alive, all they want is to sit still, work less, grab more and eat, shit and procreate with other Muslim women. Do you really think a failed species like Christians and Muslims going to like being told that they are going to be reborn in the same World they left, to pick up where they had left, to rework on all those things they had left undone and to have less things that they had before because they had taken everything for granted?

BUT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT GOING TO HAPPEN.

The reason behind soul reincarnation is to be eternal like God, this effort will fail. The reason behind creation is to experience life and death.
Only God is eternal, not soul. Soul will enventually dies. Everything dies except God.

What do you know about Soul?
NOTHING - because what you understand as a Soul is the Mind.

That is the difference between a cult like Christianity and Islam with Spiritual belief system like Hinduism.

In Hinduism, humans are not creation which some god created as a plaything. Humans are born at the same time the Universe was born, undergoes tremendous and long changes (which is in par with what we know of the Universe) and our souls will become powerful and capable of existing without any physical medium like a human body. That is our goal in this Universe - to evolve.

In many religions in the World, ONLY Hinduism follows the true purpose of why we exist in the Universe - to evolve, grow and finally become One with the Source, thus allowing us to be the Source for the Next Creation Process - the same way Sapta Rishis were made Source for the Creations of this Universe.

ONLY the most idiotic belief systems (like Christianity and Islam) or an atheists system (like Buddhism) could label humanity as a mere creation (of mud and clay) and discard their true divine purpose of existence.

And besides, who said being rough on people is a bad thing. In today's misguide world, where most people have forgotten their divine purpose and live like animals, it is best to behave rude and rough to showcase their fault and mistakes. IF you be nice to this sort of people, they will climb all over your head and demand you to change to their ways because they are on the top.

Take Christians for example - did they give up committing adultery, eating porn or cursing God even when one believes in Christ?

Or Muslims - Do they change for the better and become useful members of the society? No, most of them are drug-addicts, daydreaming of some heaven while wasting away on this Planet. Giving them chance to reincarnate is like pouring water over the keladi leaves (old Malay proverb).

Or Buddhists themselves. You can see Buddhist stickers on the back of the car but they still double-park, drive while answering handphone and I have even see cases where they had their Ipad on the front of their steering.

I even dare to say that many who calls themselves Hindus have never even read Bhavagad Gita and kept following some "saint" like Sai Baba or some such people, thinking by doing that, they could receive blessings and boons.

This World belongs to the few - those who knows and seeks the Divine Purpose for existence. The rest are just garbage of Evolution.

You are being stupid again.

You are using alien words like "convert". Why should anyone convert to Hinduism? Did I say Buddhism is wrong? Did I say that Buddhists should convert to other religions (especially Hinduism)? You misunderstood me, just as you misunderstood many things (like Reincarnation, Soul and the Mind).

Buddhism is Psychology. FULL STOP. Do not talk more until you understand perfectly the bolded statement. If you cannot understand this, go and get some medical (preferably psychological) help.

Psychology deals with the Mind and Body and that is what Gautama Buddha did. Buddhism is NOT Religion. Buddhism is NOT a Belief System. It is mistake of those who came AFTER Gautama Buddha to revise His teaching into a belief system, which includes Thervada, Mahayana, Vajrayana and Zen Buddhism as we have today.
