Maradona Feels That Kaka Doesn't Deserve The Ballon d'or

Argentinean legend Diego Maradona weighs in on the debate on whether Ricardo Kaka deserves the Balloon d抩r, and stuck to his earlier stance.

As soon as Kaka received the prestigious trophy on Sunday in Paris, a furious debate ensued questioning the merits of the Brazilian superstar receiving the award.

Though his Champions League form was great, the play-maker was practically non-existent through the Serie A season, and there have been calls from various quarters that consistency should be rewarded as opposed to a few glittering performances.

Former Argentinean superstar Diego Maradona - who had made his position clear by backing Lionel Messi - chose to stick to his guns.

Let's Finish First In The Group - Ancelotti

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti denied that the team are already thinking about the Club World Cup in Tokyo, after the team qualified for the next round of the Champions League last Wednesday against Benfica.

In tomorrow's game against Celtic, the last one of the Champions League group stage, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti intends to put out the strongest team possible to ensure the Rossoneri finish first in Group D after already qualifying in the last round against Benfica.

"Against Celtic we will play in our strongest formation," he said during today's press conference, "our mind is not on Tokyo, right now we want to finish first in the group. That's why we'll play in our usual formation, without making too many changes."

To those who say both teams will play for a draw tomorrow, and who suggest Milan are in a decline in Europe as well, he replied: "I'd like to remind that we've always done well in the Champions League.

"Tomorrow we will play with utmost fairness and respect for everyone, then if it ends in a draw I won't fear the criticisms, because Milan always go on the pitch to win."

inzhagi secara rasminya mencatat record baru sebagai  uefa all time record goalscorer..game 1st half ngantuk sket tgk celtic main secara selamat(yg takkan mungkin dilabel media british sbg catenaccio)..2nd half milan dah panas enjin baru la menarik sket..pirlo dgn trademark freekick pelik dia hampi2 lagi mengayamkan boruc..inzhagi plak terlepas peluang cun pasal ingatkan favalli off side..kaka punye amazing run dari tengah padang lak tak sempat menghasilkan gol akibat terlebih makan angin dpn gol..

apapun game tadi player yg nmpak cun ialah cafu dan favalli...cafu dgn kualiti offensive manakala favalli dgn defensive..gattuso pun ok gak..seedorf lak menunjukkan kualiti dribble seorang player yg dah main 100 champions league! melekat je bola kat kaki..kaka tak menyerlah sgt tapi larian dari tepi tu mmg cun abih..pirlo selain dari freekick "pelik" tu tak aktif sgt dlm game ni...yg lain2 biasa je..gourcuff pun dpt gak peluang main..sekian...

-disebabkan hanya 2 perlawanan yg ada maka astro dan sky sport dgn penuh berat hati terpakse la tunjuk live game ni..:@

jore europe 1 - celtic 0

AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi made history with his 63rd goal in UEFA club competitions - but could not stop Celtic joining the Rossoneri in the Champions League second round, courtesy of Benfica's 2-1 win at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Van Basten quits for Milan? Tuesday 4 December, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marco Van Basten has confirmed he抣l quit the Dutch team after Euro 2008, which could have major repercussions for Milan抯 coaching situation.

The three times Ballon d扥r winner will not be renewing his contract to take charge of Holland, announced director general of the Dutch FA Henk Kesler this evening.

There had been rumours this would be the case, but the news is now official, so the race is on to see which club side Van Basten will move to next.

The main options are Milan and Barcelona, but either decision could have repercussions for Carlo Ancelotti.

It is reported that if Van Basten takes over at Barca, this will free his former Rossoneri teammate Frank Rijkaard to come back to San Siro as Coach.

Euro 2008 is the key turning point here, as if Roberto Donadoni

Milan Close To Signing 'German Cristiano Ronaldo'

AC Milan are closing in on the signature of Borussia M鰊chengladbach's Marko Marin, according to Kicker.

The 18-year-old winger is described by some as the 'German Cristiano Ronaldo' and is one of the hottest young prospects currently in circulation.

Marin, who holds a Serbian passport, has played four times for the Germany Under-21 team, scoring one goal.

The youngster has attracted the attention of a host of European clubs, with Fiorentina and Ajax said to be particularly interested.

Milan have been following the Bosnia-born star for some time now, and according to Kicker they are close to coming to an agreement with M鰊chengladbach.

It is unclear whether the transfer will go through in January or at the end of the season, although the latter seems more likely.

The Rossoneri have already signed one highly-rated teenager in the form of Brazilian wonderkid Alexandre Pato, who will be available to play after the New Year.
