| “ | I cannot understand why we idle discussing religion. If we are honest—and scientists have to be—we must admit that religion is a jumble of false assertions, with no basis in reality. The very idea of God is a product of the human imagination. The thing about science and religion that many believe, they couldn't coexist together. On the contra, this is absolutely not true and bulls made by both party, either in science or in religion who doesn't truly understand what both mean.
While some of the scientist believe in Darwinism theory, some of them still used creationism theory. Let say human evolved from a micro organism or the popular big bang theory. The question is, how it truly started? It not simply answered by, when there is a force, an big expansion inside some blackhole, scattered through galaxy then create a micro organism, after billions years of evolution, sapiens number zero evolves. When an honest kid ask, who created the sun/star/blackhole/what-the-fuck that expand? theorist stuck. Thus, creationism come to fill in the gap for understanding beyond human comprehension.
There is no absolute proof of God doesn't exist, and there also no absolute proof of God do exist either. It all back to the word faith. Similar to big bang theory, see the key word "theory", mean that it just a theory, no absolute proof it happen. Scientist around the world still investigating if this theory can be proven. Where at some point along the road, people get the idea evolution negating God? Still a mystery for me.
As far as I read or known, the only active religion that challenged science is christian. Not only now, but far back from middle age, they burned alchemist and deems them as evil and do many weird stuff back watering the technology advancement. But you have to take into account of christianity disparity, they have protestant, catholic, orthodox. All three of them refer to different gospel and contradicting some of the facts. Forgive me if this is offensive, my conclusion is: this 3 main branch of christian is actually a different religion. Which one is a true christian using a true gospel that Isa (Jesus) delivered? Only God knows. I'm not here to judge.
Sadly, many scientist or atheist or nerd or scienctist-wannabe believe in aliens or E.T. helps evolving human civilization but totally reject concept of god. Wasn't that a similar thing? Aliens come to earth using U.F.O, while there were doctrine says that Muhammad s.a.w were lift through the sky by using buraq. And the shape of the object were hard to describe by Rasullulah because it beyond human comprehension. So, it just a different point of opinions. E.T, Angels etc. It all matter of names.
Scientist who belittle a religion are incompetent scientist while a believer who belittle science is a very confuse believer. God gave us ability to explore, to think, freedom. In religion, there is no wrong to discover thing, no religion in the world forbid it believer to learn, why belittled science and technology? Then, Islam came taking the world by a storm. Islam is a religion who promote seeking for knowledge (the first thing, Allah command Muhammad s.a.w by Jibril were iqra' mean read), Islam present a guideline to follow how to obtain knowledge then how you use it so you can benefit other. See, where God told how knowledge is powerful and were ment to be seek by Islam. So, why? why they(science and religion) contradict each other? It just ridicolous.
Why the hell is this an issues? I still couldn't digest it up until now.
