We don't have an icon? Diffrence from other Sectarian Buddhism

As the Buddha banned idle worship to eliminate spiritual materialism, Shingyo pre-sectarian Buddhism does not have icons to worship.  The Buddha was a real person just like us.  He attained his final salvation through the Right Practice.  We will follow him by the Right Practice.  He is the great example of spiritual success.  Therefore, instead of worshipping him, we will simply show deep respect for his attainment and sincere appreciations for his teachings and practice.
