Everyone should have confidence in Buddha:

Once upon a time there was a fish who knows nothing except swimming in the water. One day a turtle came back from a trip on land told it how the animals on land walk on foot. The fish had never lived on land and couldn't imagine that there is a place where animals walk on foot and fishes cannot live. It doesn't believe in what turtle said at all on the basis of its own experience.

We are like the fish who have not yet completely been liberated from the restraints of desires and ignorance. We can only experience sufferings without knowing the state of annihilation of sufferings.

However, Buddha has testified the state of annihilation of sufferings in person and told us the causes of sufferings are nothing but desires and ignorance which can be eliminated.

Even we know nothing at all about the state of annihilation of sufferings, we can testify the state and experience it in person by Buddha's teachings.

If a sick man doesn't have confidence in an experienced doctor and is unwilling to take the doctor's prescriptions even the doctor tells him his sickness can be cured, it is impossible for him to recuperate from his sickness.

Buddha is just like a wise and experienced doctor; when He tells us there is a way to solve our sufferings , then why not to give it a try like a patient taking a doctor's prescription?

Yeah, everyone should have confidence in a guy who died 2,500 years while sitting under a tree. That could give us Science, Technology, Medicine, Knowledge and so much more.

Buddhism is good teachings ....one may use Gautama teachings in life  BUT there are certain teaching ...

This World exists for humans to work hard for their keep. They must strive under the rain and Sun to produce their own food, shelter, strive for peace and tranquility, as well as worldly knowledge. These are things which no one - including God - can provide for Humans. These are things which we must strive to achieve by our two hands or we are no better than those farmed animals human keep for their wools, milk and meat.

ONLY when humanity able to obtain these basic things, can they dream of something more divine such as Spiritualism. Only when humans able to provide for their basic needs, could then they able to sit under a tree and mediate upon Life's Higher Purpose.

In my opinion, there are TWO purpose in Life :-

True purpose - where humanity strive for worldly knowledge and possession.
Higher purpose - where humanity strive for Spiritual well-being.

BOTH ARE IMPORTANT because without one, the other is useless. Sitting under a tree all day long is not Spiritualism. That is why Buddhism failed in India a thousand years ago.

Why Spiritualism failing People today?

Have anyone ever wondered about this question? Why so many people failed to live a Spiritual life in this World? Why so many people error in their way to search for Spiritualism and end up falling prey to false gods, false prophet and false teaching? Why so many willing to stray a bomb up their a$$ and blow themselves to kingdom come, believing that they are doing something great when all they are doing is dying worse than a stray dog? Is these Spiritualism? This is bull$hit.

Spiritualism is failing today because there is a separation between Worldly living and Spiritual living. People attend to split these two qualities right in the middle and live a duality existence. They live a Worldly life filled with temptations, ignorance, arrogance and Sin most of their normal daily activities and then spend a few hours once a week (or even five times a day) pretending that they are Spiritual people just because they can pray.

This form of dual existence have become a staple in their existence because their forefathers have lived in the similar way and they, not knowing better continue to do so, believing that they cannot change. And those who wants to progress Spiritual are incapable of doing so because they cannot bridge the gap between Worldly life and Spiritual life. That is why many goes and find false belief systems which state to able to help them do just that (cross the gap between Worldly and Spiritual life).

Foolish humans .... the gap is only in your minds. It is you who believe that Spiritualism and Worldly existence are two separate things. It is out of your physical and mental weakness that you separate these two and came to believe that there is a gap which is hard to cross.

Take for example West Christians. It is stated in one of their 10 Commandments that One shall not Kill and yet, you can see (in Western history) for the past 700 years that many have taken arms and went to war to kill or be killed as a shortcut to Heaven. Even today, there are still many in the West who believes that their warmongering ways are accordance to will of the Heaven. Is this fault of Heaven or Fault of Human Ignorance?

Muslims believe in Muhammad (as one of the person who able to bridge the gap between Spirituality and Worldly living) blindly that they refused to hear, read or debate anything (negative) about Muhammad. They place Muhammad as a divine (a god-like figure even so they admit such practise doesn't exist in Islam) and willing to die for a man who have been dead for 1,400 years. Such foolishness is NOT Spiritualism nor will it bring anyone closer to God. Mimicking a person is not the Way of Spiritualism.

Buddha's Way maybe suitable in a place where there are enough food, resources and other Worldly things. Where people are happy and seek to understand higher purpose in life. Where there is no personal wealth and desire for power. Where a person can leave the Worldly World behind and the World able to function without him in it.
