Sarawakians Get Called 'Stupid Sohai' By West Malaysians For Their Political Choice

However, a huge number of west Malaysians have come in defence of Sarawakians.
So BN won in Sarawak with a landslide margin!And opposition supporters from outside the state, it seemed, couldn't fathom the loss. In several Facebook posts, they called Sarawakians "brainless voters" and "stupid sohai Sarawakians.
- In a Facebook post, Raja Petra Kamarudin highlighted a collection of some of these insults being hurled at voters of Sarawak for choosing to stay with BN by voting for Adenan bin Satem.
Raja's Facebook post was being shared by others with their own commentary - some in support of the insults and some in against. At the time of writing this, the post has been shared for over 600 times and has more than 100 comments.
- Raja shared the collection of comments in two separate screenshot collage, with a caption that read:
"What West Malaysians think of Sarawakians"
- A different set of comments shared on Facebook shows even more vile insults and name-calling of Sarawakians by west Malaysians:
- "How do you justify hating Sarawak by telling them not to step onto Peninsular shores just because opposition failed their conquest? 3 years ago, we lost more than 1/2 the states in Peninsular. I don’t see anyone blaming Malacca, Pahang, nor even Perak, for falling into the hands of BN," Shaun, a KLite, the person who shared the above screenshot, wrote in his Facebook post, defending the people of Sarawak.
"Yet somehow, Sarawak seems to be blamed for everything that has gone wrong."
- Another FB post highlights why it's wrong of others to criticise and blame the people of Sarawak for practising their right and political choice, regardless of how much you may disagree with that choice
- "An election is the democratic process of the population to select a leader of choice. It can be a battle which may be unfair and dirty in places but ultimately it is also the final personal choice of each individual who went to vote", reads the Facebook post by Wiliam Cheah, who gave SAYS his permission to use it for this story.
- The insulting comments, William writes, by people from outside the state are the reason why Sarawakians and Sabahans "react with hostility towards us".

One thing for sure, sekuat mana orang berkokok di FB tidak menggambarkan apa yang akan menang undi.
Di FB saya hampir 100% berita menyokong pembangkang, mengeji Datuk Adenan dan ramalan kemenangan DAP/PKR lebih besar drpd sebelumnya |
