HAZE UPDATE:

Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid has ordered all schools in Selangor, Federal Territories, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan and Malacca to close tomorrow.

This was revealed by Deputy Education Minister P. Kamalanathan in a Twitter post a short while ago.

PETALING JAYA: All schools in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negri Sembilan and Malacca have been told to close on Tuesday due to the worsening haze.

HAZE UPDATE:

As of 10pm tonight, six areas have exceeded 190 on the Air Pollutant Index (API).

An API of 200 is considered 'Very Unhealthy' and schools will be ordered to close.

Banting, in Selangor, currently sits just below that with an API of 199 followed by Nilai, in Negeri Sembilan, which has an API of 197.

The other areas are Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan (194), Port Klang in Selangor (193), Bukit Rambai in Malacca and Batu Muda in Kuala Lumpur (both 191).
