Column: About a thing or two to ponder.

I have a task to complete. And today I don’t feel like writing a poem or pantun.Writing lyric is just not my cup of tea.I might try to write one but not for today. The time is running fast so I better write or ramble about something.

Setiap orang ada pendapat. Be it a person with PhD or a person who lead a simple life.Tak kisahlah orang tu extrovert yang sungguh mudah mengeluarkan pendapat mereka.They have courage and confidence but not necessarily knowledge.Even introvert juga have their own opinion and they prefer to voice out their opinion in forum who can disguise behind the nickname(s) or just keep in their heart which, in reality, they have done it many times.

The problem with the opinion is……..it is just an opinion. Semua orang boleh bagi opinion,tapi belum tentu opinion tu boleh diterima pakai. Pendapat mereka dipengaruhi oleh pelbagai faktor seperti education background,religion,lifestlye,family, their attitude and the most important is their knowledge on the given topic.

And here I am,who need to give opinion. Let me take Siti Nurhaliza as a prime example why some opinions about her are not valid to a certain extent.

Perkahwinan

Ketika Siti membuat sidang akhbar yang beliau akan berkahwin dengan Datuk K,ramai yang memberi pendapat. Some happily gave well wishes to her and Datuk K (including me). Sesetengah yang lain sangat tidak bersetuju while some others were in different.

Saya cukup tidak faham mengapa golongan yang tidak bersetuju ini perlu tidak bersetuju. Siapa mereka nak setuju or tidak setuju? Pernah tak dorang tanya diri mereka, siapa mereka nak pandai-pandai cakap tidak setuju? Golongan ini ingat, sebagai peminat, dorang berhak menentukan jodoh Siti. Dorang seolah-olah lupa,hak mutlak jodoh seseorang ialah milik Allah. Well heck, even Siti tidak lari daripada radar Allah.Qada dan Qadar Allah.

Masing-masing mula berpaling tadah mula tak minat Siti.Sangatlah tidak matang.Entah ya entah tidak. Mungkin sahaja,dari dulu tak minat pun. Tapi sahaja nak buat ayat provokasi so that peminat-peminat Siti yang tak fikir panjang pun akan ikut jejak langkah mereka.

I remember back then, I was thrilled. Saya faham,Siti tidak lari daripada berkahwin,daripada membuat keputusan.Setiap keputusan itu secara halus di bawah ketentuan Allah.

Mereka tidak bersetuju Siti kahwin dengan Datuk K.So what? Itu pendapat mereka.

Yes,itu pendapat mereka. Semoga ketika mereka hendak berkahwin,seluruh rakyat Malaysia tidak bersetuju dengan perkahwinan mereka. At that point, they will try to resort thing dengan menyuruh rakyat Malaysia yang tidak bersetuju itu supaya memberi pendapat secara rasional.

Well,it is no surprise.

There are people out there who love to show off their imitated British accent or American slang when speaking. God,if they knew,it’s a laughingstock. You can’t disguise to be an Englishman by talking like one.Cakap English macam biasa saja. Semua orang tahu,kita orang Melayu Malaysia(except Melayu yang tinggal di UK or US or Australia who could not help but to speak with those accents/slang).

Like all imitation, it's cheap.

Siti yang berwawasan tinggi untuk melebarkan sayapnya di peringkat antarabangsa dengan menghasilkan album English terus diritik dengan golongan yang berangan urban dan berpakaian classy(padahal asal kampung di ulu banat mana). Baru dapat kerja di Kuala Lumpur selepas belajar, terus perasan urban. Baru ibu bapa kaya sikit,dapat rezeki Allah, sudah tonggang arak,masuk disko.Terus rasa diri tu hebat macam teenagers Barat. Actually,I don’t have a problem with them as longas they don’t look down on others.

I am all with Siti to explore a new horizon. But there is a thing in my mind…Kenapa ya,kalau nak tembus pasaran antarabangsa,mesti kena guna English,mesti kena buat muzik mereka? Sampai sekarang saya tak faham. As if,Englishlah the only bahasa yang menjadi pertuturan masyarakat dunia. Kenapa tidak buat muzik yang berasal dari negara kita? Kita “wow” kan pendengar muzik antarabangsa dengan muzik yang lain daripada yang pernah mereka dengar from our own country(read:exotic).Kalau mereka hendak dengar muzik macam itu, mereka boleh sahaja mendengar Beyonce or artis-artis lain.

Tudung Siti

There are 3 groups in this issue. One who back up Siti.One who disagree with Siti.One who disagree and mencaci.

Allah suruh tutup aurat.Itu Allah suruh.Diulangi,Allah suruh.Diulangi, Allah suruh(read:important). Allah tempat semua nyawa kembali kepadaNya dan diadili atas setiap amalan.

I disagree with Siti.The way she wears tudung is out of context. Yes,everyone can change. Everyone can change slowly but surely. But for NOW, I do not approve the way she put on her scarf/tudung. There are reasons(fame maybe?) that only Siti knows why she doesn’t want to follow the order of Allah.Repeat:the order of Allah.Repeat:the order of Allah.Allah yang memberikan pelbagai rezeki kepada Siti. This is not a personal issue.Well,nothing personal with hukum Allah.It applies to all Muslims.

While I disagree with Siti on isu tudung, I do not hate her.I seldom (very difficult) to hate others. Once in a while,I pray for her.

But there is a group who sokong Siti no matter what.Taksub.Obsessed.Tolak YANG PALING AGUNG (hukum Allah) for the sake of Siti.

And there is a group who despise Siti just because of that issue?

It just shows how flaw Siti is.

Then what is the relation with the title of the task “SATU DALAM SEJUTA”?

3 issues provide 3 proofs that Siti is JUST ANOTHER HUMAN BEING who happens to be a singer. But she is just not like other singer. She is“special”. Well at least to me. The way she works,the way she acts, her attitudes, her confidence, how she strives for success. She has many flaws and yet she is endearing.Her voice is gobsmacking, so I say.

Like I say earlier,these ARE ALL MY OPINIONS.

I could have written more but they say,write short and sweet will give the impact.Short maybe but masalahnya sweet ke?

next time kalo taip kat MS word & nak transfer kat forum..
copy & letak dalam kotak 'Quote' tue - so, dia punya format tak lari.
lepas tu remove balik code 'Quote'.
