What we have here is a leak of an internal presentation slide of Samsung showing what you can expect out of the Samsung Galaxy S III, the purportedly successor of the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Samsung Galaxy S III is rumored to be company's next flagship. It is said that it will run Android 4.0, under the hood will be a Samsung developed 1.8GHz quad-core CPU with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory and a microSD slot aboard. The screen will be 4.65 inches of Super AMOLED III delight. Super AMOLED III, according to the tipster, is being developed specifically for this model. |

Samsung is delaying its announcement of the highly anticipated Android flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S IIIuntil further notice.
According to The Verge and BestBoyZ, the Korean manufacturer has decided to break the news to a later period after Mobile World Congress (MWC), and expected it to be announced “before summer” along with some “interesting stuff”. It is believed that Samsung intends to narrow the gap between the global and the US launch.
Let’s hope Samsung install some surprises other than the SGSIII at MWC next month.

It's official: no Samsung Galaxy S III at the MWC
We've been hearing
rumors
that the Samsung Galaxy S III won't show up at the Mobile World Congress for a while now, but here comes the official confirmation from the horse's mouth. The launch of the hotly anticipated smartphone will happen later on with a separate Samsung-hosted event.
They were vague when it came to when or where the event will take place, with the official info saying "in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product". We've heard that the Galaxy S III is slated for an April launch, but the validity of the rumor is questionable. A Dutch site is claiming a March launch instead. Samsung didn’t say what they'll be announcing at the MWC, but they promise exciting mobile products. According to the rumor mill, that means Windows Phone handsets and tablets. We're a little disappointed that we won't see the new Samsung flagship droid this month, but let's hope the wait will be worth it. Anyway, we'll be live covering whatever other hot gadgets Samsung has to show at the MWC. |

Samsung Galaxy S III to be just 7mm thin, quad-core processor and LTE regurgitated again
Samsung has reportedly managed to shrink the PCB board and other components in its upcoming Galaxy S III flagship 10-20% compared to its current achievements in the Galaxy S II, which is not too shabby at 8.49mm in its thinnest parts either.
This shrinkage has allowed it to make the Galaxy S III just 0.27" (7mm) thin. As far as we understood from Google's Korean translation, the Galaxy S III is expected to feature the same "hump" on the back where currently the 8MP camera on the Galaxy S II resides. In fact, the Korean source says it will feature an 8MP camera as well, capable of 1080p video recording, despite the hinted 12MP shooter that leaked in a shady presentation last year and was also confirmed by Eldar Murtazin not long ago, so the jury is still out on this one. There is also a mention of a 3D-enabled model, though it's not exactly clear if it's for the camera, the display, or both.
The translation is quite murky, but it clearly mentions the months May and March 2011 - May this year seems as a possible launch month, and the latter as the month since Samsung started working on the Galaxy S III. If this rumor holds water, making such a thin 0.27" chassis out of metal seems a bit of a stretch, so Samsung might have gone again with some kind of plastic for the Galaxy S III, despite many people wishing for a metal shell.
There will certainly be a lot more rumors in the meantime to clarify the build material, but a quad-core processor and LTE connectivity are mentioned in this rumor as well as the previous whispers from people in the know, so they seem pretty certain at this point. The mystery is whether it will be the 1.8GHz quad-core Exynos 4412, or the Exynos 5-series monsters that Samsung demonstrated to us recently powering a WQXGA display.

Lagi gambar @ imej Samsung Galaxy III didedahkan ...
A few things are in its favor. First of all, the design looks more like something Samsung would actually design and less like the fantasy of a Samsung fan somewhere with Photoshop on his PC. There are some interesting elements here worth noticing, such as the edge to edge display, loudspeaker placed at the bottom edge on the front, dedicated camera shutter and an incredibly thin profile. Poring over the screenshot, we see the date May 22 along with the mention of Samsung's Unpacked event, which could just be when the phone gets launched, assuming this image is real. Lastly, on the bottom right it mentions the name of Weber Shandwick, a PR company who has a history of working for Samsung. There are a couple of unusual things about the picture, though. First of all, the design is unlike the first two Galaxy S phones. The design of the S II was clearly an evolution of the first phone; it even had that bump on the back at the bottom. In comparison, this image of the Galaxy S III is very different from the first two phones, which strikes us as a bit odd. Secondly, the display has five icons on the screen near the bottom. The only Samsung phone that has five icons is the Galaxy Note, but only because it has a ginormous display that can accommodate them. Unless the Galaxy S III has a 5.0+ inch display, it would be unlikely that it would have five icons because then they would be too small. It also seems unlikely that Samsung would have two 5.0+ inch models at the same time. Clearly, that display segment is reserved for the Note. The presence of the camera shutter button also raises a few alarms in our head. When was the last time Samsung had a dedicated camera shutter button on an Android device? So even though this might seem like the most convincing image of the Galaxy S III so far, we would advise taking it with a pinch of salt. If it really is fake, to whoever that made it, well trolled. sumber ; gsmarena |
