ALOR SETAR: Mayat seorang remaja perempuan ditemui dalam keadaan tertiarap di sebuah kawasan bendang berhampiran Alor Senibung, dekat sini, petang semalam.
Ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah negeri, Asisten Komisioner Mohd Nashir Ya, berkata mayat remaja itu ditemui orang awam kira-kira jam 3.45 petang, sebelum anggotanya bergegas ke tempat kejadian.
Menurutnya, siasatan awal pihaknya mengklasifikasikan kejadian itu kes bunuh dan siasatan dijalankan di setiap sudut.
Katanya, ini berikutan mangsa bersama dua adik perempuannya, masing-masing barusia 12 dan tiga tahun keluar dari rumah mereka di Kampung Gelap pada 29 November lalu.
Beliau berkata, kedua-dua adik mangsa masih hilang dan usaha mencari masih dijalankan.
Menurutnya, siasatan lanjut sedang dijalankan termasuk mendapatkan bantuan anjing pengesan K-9 dan Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat.

ALOR STAR: A 14-year-old girl who went missing after leaving home with her two younger sisters on Friday, was found dead in a padi field at Alor Senibung, Tajar here yesterday.
The body of Noorsyafikah Nadia Rusdi was found clad only in her bra and lying slumped in the padi field by the villagers at 3.45pm while the two other girls aged 12 and three-year-old were still missing.
Kedah police chief Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim said the victims' parents lodged a missing person report early yesterday after the girls failed to return home on Friday evening.
Ahmad said the parents had identified Noorsyafikah's body at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital.
“The parents filed the police report after they found out their three daughters were missing.
“The body of the14-year-old body was found and the other two sisters were still missing,” he told Pressmen here today.
Meanwhile, the search for the two other girls, Nur Izzati Husna, 12, and three-year-old Puteri Nurul Akma, were intensified.
Kedah Criminal Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Nashir Ya said they had brought in the K9 unit and the Fire and Rescue Department to locate the missing girls.
"We have classified Norsyafika's death as murder and we are doing our best to find the two other sisters," he said.

ALOR SETAR: A body of a 14-year-old girl was found in a padi field in Kampung Alor Senibong after she was reported missing from her house in Kampung Gelam for more than 12 hours.
Her two young sisters aged 12 and three who left the house with her are still missing.
Kedah CID chief Assist Comm Mohd Nashir Ya said the 14-year-old girl's body was found laying facedown inside a padi field at 3.45pm on Saturday.
He said initial investigation showed the girl left her house with her two sisters at 7.30pm on Nov 29, to meet a friend in Kampung Gelam.
Her mother who worried of their safety, after they did not return home at midnight, lodge police report at 2am on Nov 30.
ACP Mohd Nashir said police are looking into all possibility into her death and classified the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
He added police are also looking for her two younger sisters.

"Siasatan awal pada 29 November lepas, pukul 7.30 petang mangsa berusia 14 tahun keluar dari rumahnya di Jalan Dato Kumbar bersama dua adik perempuan berusia 12 dan tiga tahun untuk berjumpa kawan di Kampung Gelam.
"Ibu mangsa yang risau membuat laporan polis pada pukul 2 pagi, 30 November dan kes disiasat di bawah Seksyen 302 Kanun Keseksaan," katanya di sini hari ini.
Beliau berkata, sebab kematian akan disiasat mengikut sebarang kemungkinan dengan menemubual rakan dan keluarga mangsa.
"Dua lagi adik mangsa masih hilang dan orang ramai yang menemui dua adik mangsa boleh hubungi Ketua Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah Daerah Kota Setar, Deputi Superintendan Saravanan di talian 012-4939264," tambahnya. - KOSMO!
